"Close Tips" is used to dismiss the popup modal dialog box warnings without touching the screen to dismiss them! It will not prevent them, but it does get rid of them instantly, after clicking on the C1 button, if programmed into it. Use C2 to cycle the Landing Lights from Auto to On to Off (3 distinct settings) . Auto lets them turn on during landing at night which will blind you! Set them to Off, and use the C2 to turn them On to find the drone in the sky, and then turn them Off, once located, and make sure they aren't set to Auto.

Great video! Very handy! I’ve just upgraded from my Mavic Air 1 to a Mavic 2 Zoom. The Australian drone laws require the drone to be in “line of sight at all times” which it gets hard to see at about 100’. But throwing that LED landing light on helps me see it about 150’ away! Kinda cool!

@enrique685 жыл бұрын
Searched long and hard for that, too, when I first got my drone as intuitively it seems backwards to me. Unfortunately, the answer I got was that it isn’t possible to change the direction of the roll wheel. Took me months of practice before I was using it properly/intuitively. Wonder if it was created that way for people whose first language is Chinese who typically read in a different pattern (ie not left to right like English speakers) and might therefore have a different intuitive sense on controls, but I digress.

About "Close Tips": the DJI Go app likes to communicate with the pilot during flight by putting large text messages (tips) on the screen blocking his view. Now at least we can clear them with C1 or C2 without taking our thumbs off the sticks.

Russ (and Russell), this was a great topic on an otherwise mysterious function. 1) I was thinking GS = Geo-Spacial (basically means map information) and FPV = First Person View. My GS is just a guess. 2) I always use manual mode for video because I want to keep the shutter speed set for the 180 degree rule. This means I manipulate the aperture with the right wheel, using the histogram for reference. I really like the idea of setting it to shutter priority and using AE lock (which I did not fully understand until now) to allow the camera to pick the f-stop, and toggle it off and on as needed to adjust for lighting changes. This way I could change it between clips, or in an unimportant part of the shot. 3) My current settings are: C-1 (left finger) = bring up camera settings; C-2 (right finger) = center auto focus; I use the little 5D mini-joystick for camera up and down, and I use it a lot! I like to know I'm exactly horizontal when determining the height of objects, especially when going above them to extend my AGL ceiling. I also use it for landing, like you. 4) Why do my comments always get so long? You're probably asking the same thing: "Oh great, that Tim guy again." Thanks for the informative video and all your hard work!
