The saddest thing I realized growing up was that when the Quran talks about hypocrites, it isn't talking about non-believers, it is actually talking about Muslims that distort/transform the message to their own desire (ALL DUE TO STUBBORNNESS) and will fight for it with pride. I have seen countless videos where it says that Milawad is an innovation and the comments are filled with "We love the Prophet Mumadda (SAW) and will celebrate Milawad till our last dying breath". That is pride and stubbornness and NOTHING else!

If you study 10 most basic ahadith on the Shamail (descriptions) of the Prophet s.a.w. you will quickly learn this lack of adab and alhlaq from a so called "shiekh" is against the sunnah of the Prophet s.a.w. This is not a man of knowledge or a scholar of Islam. People focus too much on the word "mawlid" and not what of it comprises of. You will get the odd few who do silly things like going extreme with the green lighting n what not, but Mawlid is widely practiced across the globe, especially in Palestine too. Break it down to its essentials, which is zikr, khutbah, and nasheeds/naats, all of which are not biddah, but do all together and class it into a day is all of a sudden biddah. Further more this 'shiekh' is clueless why Eid falls on different days, so lets leave it at that.

You lack knowledge of Usul and are straw manning the other position. 1. None of the scholars that say Mawlid is permissible, say that it is an Eid like the religious Eid’s. Anyone who believes it’s an Eid like Eid Al-Adha or Eid Al-Fitr has clearly committed Biddah. No scholar holds this position. 2. Tark is not evidence that something is impermissible. The Prophet ‎ﷺ‎ not doing something, let alone the Sahaba or anyone after them, isn’t proof that thing is Haram. This sort of argument is made by laypeople who lack basic knowledge of Usul Al-Fiqh and what constitutes proof for Tahrim.
