I've been lifting for over 30 years and I still learn something every time I watch DT's videos. Such a wealth of knowledge and applicable advice.

I understand this was daves set up, but i used the dynamic waves the same way in my own training, and i cannot explain how short 30-45 seconds feels! Its cardio like never before. Cant wait to see the carry over.

I’ve seen this video 2 times already and I’m still learning new things each time. Probably the best teacher out there! Dave is the man plan and simple

Thank you so much. Your information is worth a lot of money. I've used your channel to build my philosophy for training myself and others. The system works. Using a methodical approach where you can monitor volume and intensity is often overlooked with the "programs" produced by many coaches and fitness gurus. I have gotten a lot stronger from your guidance, as well as the people I have trained.

Best teacher for strength & conditioning, hands down. Not only has Dave forgotten more than I’ll ever know, his ability to explain his methods in a very simple way is perfect. His teaching style just draws me to want to listen, and I absolutely hate listening to teachers or speakers.

That hat is sick. Did you calculate the DE numbers off a max taken at the beginning of the cycle or was it an estimated number that you knew you could start at and build up from? Thanks for making the video.

I believe he said that he has been doing this long enough to know what those percentages should feel like.

What People dont talk about is that this westside barbel methot is only for equipped lifters
@lmc33073 жыл бұрын
So for dynamic we rotate every 4th week and so the stimulus changes on the body but if the percentages stay the same , where does the overload come in ? Would the weight difference between sets on different exercises ie floor press numbers would be lower than close grip bench but the percentages are the same , so the overload is purely from the weight ? And then how does progression occur after the cycles are done . Do we rotate back to the first exercise with increased weight ?

How to deal with progression on ME lifts. I have a rotation of 10 movements for upper and 4 of them for upper I failed this time going through them. I was trying to add 2.5kgs to the previous pr but couldn't. How do I go about this in the future? I realise that ME is about straining and not necessarily the pr. But what do I do next rotation 🤔 And how should a ME day go? Do I go in with the intention of breaking previous pr (like I had) or do I just work up to what I think is my max on that day and if its more than previous pr then great if not, so be it?

Could anyone explain to me when doing westside, when/how close to meet do u do ur competition lifts ie, triples doubles singles etc? And how many weeks for leading up to meet?
@fmlguy15975 жыл бұрын
one week before the meet you do very light accessory work and rest

I cant get my head around the percentage thing on dynamic effort. Should i do 50-60% total or 50-60% plus an extra band or chain on top?
@Powerlifterusa3 жыл бұрын
For D.E. The % is always at the bottom of lift. (M.E. can differ depending on workload) Bands always have tension at the bottom if done correctly. Ex. 20lb tension, subtract that from bar weight so the bottom is always 50% I.e 50%: 250, 50lb Band tension at bottom, 200lb bar weight.

Is dynamic effort for raw lifters?
@EliteThrowsCoaching6 жыл бұрын
Nightmarre 98 yes. Raw lifters can benefit greatly from dynamic effort work especially if they are larger and more strong than they are explosive. This helps bring up their explosiveness and conditioning.

@@dewolfepowerliftingarmwres3640 1day push heavy 2day push for speed, rotate different push exercises that help that bench press the most weekly/bi-weekly that's how it works get hypertrophy for triceps and etc. Manipulate volume.
