As i am more of a strange person. i use the JSOWs for anti ship / anti oilrig. which JSOW has more explosive power the A or C
@orsonincharge48793 жыл бұрын
Cap explains in the first section , the A is a cluster munition and the C is a single warhead 500lb . So the answer is C .
@techcheetah21953 жыл бұрын
AGM-154C-1 - that's a NAVY version of single-warheaded which have IR seeker. This missile is designed for attack moving ships, not USAF AGM-154C. In DCS we have only USAF version.

Hey Cap here is one for you to try out: Do planes that have 2 rudders, like the F14 and F18, have an improved ability to rudder left or right over planes that only have one rudder like the F16 and Mirage?

hmmm interesting... need to find a way of measuring the effect.

The winwing advertisement in the beginning of your video shows an f-16 throttle, but I can’t find that on any of the websites you provided, or any website at all. You have any info?

Are the JSOW and SDB smart enough to take advantage of toss-bombing for more range?
@grimreapers3 жыл бұрын
LGBs and dumb bombs yes. Others no, at least at moment.

While the results of your single test is reported, I think the results are highly biased from my experience with the Jsow A. Very rarely do you have targets packed like that for one thing. Also, the effects are very random. I would bet that if you repeated the attacks a dozen times you would get highly variable results ( I have and you do ). Even Wag's video on a simple truck packing hardly did any damage. In the sim, you would be using the JSOW A's as stand off attack on AAA and Sam sites. I've done tests using single, paired side by side and trail with different separation distance with really poor results. Set up a sam 2 or 6 site and try it out. The last site I tried it on ... a perfect coverage of the site, took out one site yet left the two radars completely unaffected. Didn't even destroy missiles on the launchers. Cap, don't get me wrong, I like your vids, I appreciate the time you put into them, but I look to learn what I can translate into the sim so that I why I am bringing this up. If you have a chance, try using the JSOW's in a real sim setting. The upshot is I think that there is a modelling error in how the damage is calculated. The warheads are fragmentation coiled wire combined effects and radiate circularly, not like a shaped charge, so there should be a direct relationship between the distance from the explosion and damage caused to whatever is in that circular zone. Maybe once they let us select the altitude to dispense the clusters, maybe some of this will be rectified. I would think dispensing at a lower altitude would cluster the munitions more closely. Cheers.

Hey Cap, why dont you try the JSOWs on the carrier battlegroup?
@grimreapers3 жыл бұрын
JSOWs can't be used on moving targets.

Which cluster bombs can kill heavy armor? I know the CBU-97 can but not sure which others can. Can you test that out?
