Singapore is so safe even if you stay in the red light district. Geylang has everything , cheaper rent (compared to other city fringe areas) near East Coast bars and restaurants - 3km to Tanjong Katong etc Suntec. People should rly explore that area more

Actually Geylang is probably one of the safest places in Singapore, not that anywhere else is unsafe, but the amount of CCTV monitoring, the numbers of people at anytime of day or night, and the 24-hour food scene make it especially super safe.

It is very true! CCTVs are everywhere on the main road including the side lanes, and corners. You can hide, but cant run away! If one get into trouble with the laws, in less than 24hrs, one gets caught just as quickly.! Women knows very well, its safe to walk the streets alone even at wee hours!
