This is the Maxfind FF Plus - Over the last few months, I’ve tested this off-road electric skateboard in all kinds of terrain across almost 200 kilometers to discover how good it is. Well I found your channel, very impressive comprehensive review (subscribed), I do lots of offroad eskating and i was wondering, once the tread on the tires is worn down how easy is it to change esp on the hub motors? Or would you need to replace the whole wheel units? thankyou

So sorry for the late reply. In case you're still looking to find out, I just measured it for you: 14,3 cm x 20,2 cm x 2,2 cm (width, length, thickness). It sits tight in the enclosure, so there's not any wiggle-room for larger batteries than this.

How does this compare to the Lycaon TRX?

Sadly don't have hands-on experience with the Lycaon TRX (yet) but it looks like a solid board. The obvious difference is belt-driven vs hub-driven motors and then the larger battery on the TRX. There's a wide gap in price, though so if you don't need that much range, the FF Plus may be the better option (allowing you to upgrade down the line). Also, the wheels on the FF Plus are solid, while the AT tires for the TRX are pneumatic. They look a bit wider and will probably give a very smooth ride, but you'll have to worry about possible flats down the line.

My worry is that the pins on the cables will wear out or become loose from constant swapping.

I'd say that if you're not forcing it heavily and taking a few extra seconds to 'do it right' when swapping batteries, the pins will likely last a long time - especially the ones from battery to ESC. The pins leading to the charging port probably are a little more vulnerable so I definitely understand your worry. However, it would be an easy (and cheap) fix down should they eventually wear out.

I own this electric skateboard. After 3 month of regular use I started getting problems with 3 batteries. They are dying at 25%. Several times I took them to the service center but after some time the same problem appeared again. I don't know what I should do. I started thinking about selling the MAXFIND skateboard and buying another.

Sorry to hear that you're having issues with the battery packs. Are MAXFIND providing replacement batteries for you? I only have two battery packs myself but haven't had any issues yet.

@@eRideHero Perhaps, I got the defective batteries, I don't know. But why all of them? The retailer repaired these batteries but how long will they work? We will see. Maxfind doesn't provide anything - they said I only can ask about it from the retailer where I bought the skateboard.

Yeah three out of three faulty battery packs seems too unlikely to happen randomly. Oh, yeah, having bought from a different retailer than the official site definitely changes the after-sales setup, but it's to be able to get local service.

Sadly not. That's one neat feature the Hobbywing ESC lacks.

@THUONG DO Oh, awesome. Didn't know that. To my knowledge, this is based on the HW9005 ESC. If there's a newer Hobbywing ESC, hopefully Maxfind adapts that into their production-line soon.
