God hugo is in my opinion the perfect grappler in this game, he creates one emotion in his gameplay, FEAR. And it is consistent, “i don’t wanna get hit by spd” “i dont wanna be hit by meat squasher or anything else” he is a character where everything he does right creates a primal “oh shit” moment in your brain, be it parry, clap, or spd, your taking a lot of damage, and its his job to keep doin that as much as possible

I've yet to see anything about Dee-Jay being missing in the Japanese version of SSFII or this court scuffle between 2 Capcoms. All I know for sure is that Cap-J DID approve of Dee Jay and more than likely made him made the in-game fighter after Goddard designed the character. Looking it up, looks like it WAS planned (even still advertised on the box), but got gutted because they didn't have the time to finish it. OR because Capcom thought Americans wouldn't like it. I've found different stories

I don't know. Whether it's 50 years ago or 50 years from now, a company suing itself (or suing a lesser arm of itself) is never going to sound normal. It's the combination of continued goodwill between 2 groups, the continued use of Dee-Jay, and the lack of any information of this alleged court battle that makes it look like there is no bad blood between Cap-A and Cap-J. Hence the reason why Dee-Jay wasn't in the Japanese SSF but later was in SSFT, and don't have a storyline that relate to anybody in Alpha 3. His 1st real game in which he was acknowledge was in SF4 and even then it's a joke. The lead to case was Cap-A for some stupid reason wanted Gouki to be Satan. Because "it would be cool". Capcom didn't want it because they already had a Satan-like character; but Cap-A tried to force it anyway and we got Akuma. As dumb as the bosses name change. Pointless!

You missed what I just said. If one person wasn't defiant, i.e. not listening to Capcom America, you wouldn't be enjoying this track now. Capcom America ONLY two jobs are marketing and translation. Most of the great games that came out of Capcom, almost didn't make it because Capcom America laziness. We almost didn't have SF2, if someone on the staff wasn't defiant. Project Justice was a great game and sold ALL it's units and likewise for CVS. The 1st more than the last. Ghost n' Goblins suffered the same fate. Thing is Capcom America don't know what they are doing and in most cases outside "managers" come to take over a team, like in Resident Evil 4-6. So, the "to much money" nonsense...

Yeah, the American companies really need to stay out of the damn way and just do their job, which is JUST translation. We don't need them to "tone down" or "spice up" anything and years of failure and fan-hate should have sank in by now. "She never had the courage to go threw with it." That's from the Art designer! The dude that has the final say-so (in the development phase).
