Hi Drake, been a big fan of your videos just to learn how to better care for my own boat that has now evolved into a detailing company in the Midwest. I'm a huge fan of the videos where you review and talk about your equipment and was hoping you could do one on the pressure washer you use. Just found your channel great stuff and videos are just as clean. Found it because I've been considering this in my small hometown. Very popular small river town in Missouri. I'd be working on about 50% aluminum and 30ish% wrapped or painted aluminum followed by fiberglass the very very least. The Current river is crystal clear with all rock bottom, because of that fiberglass is kinda a scarcity except jetski's However, the town attracts alot of well to do people wanting to cruise the river every weekend while relaxing in their river cabins. The city has to open the entire soccer field next to the river access to accommodate ramp parking. This is not counting private ramps at alot of cabins. Ironically no dedicated boat detailing service.🤦‍♂️💡 We have 1 brick and mortar detailer who is primarily automotive with no mobile services. I'm thinking a mobile boat detailer is exactly what they didn't know they wanted in a town that has a bigger river boat dealership than actual car dealership. Anyway, boats around here range between 20 to 60k, high end brands being Shoal Runners and Gator Boats. I'm sure many of these people would like to run more expensive flashy boats but the river won't let them. 10 inches of water is pretty common and a prop is rare as a unicorn. Been around boats nearly my entire life and know them pretty well I'm just not completely up on the detailing side of things yet. I can imagine how busy you are with the business and videos but any suggestions you might have off the top of your head I'd respect your opinion greatly. Great job on it all and keep smashing it. Subscribing was a no brainer.

Hey brother! Would it be okay to just use menzerna 400 on all inside gelcoat? I have alot of boats that customers want just a shine up. Basically 1 step of just inside. Or should I always quote a jescar step to seal?

Hey Drake. Got a new lake mat that looks like it has bled dye onto my boat flooring. Its woven vinyl with white and grey coloring. The dye is orange and has made a brown stain on the floors and the sidewall of the tritoon. Any suggestions on getting this out? Ive tried heavy degreaser and magic erasers. Nothing will touch it. Thanks.

Is wet sanding supposed to give the boat the glossy look it took the chalkiness out but it is still dull does the glossy look come after polishing?

Wet sanding will remove the chalk, the compounding and polish is what will make it glossy

You can remove a lot of chalk with a strong compound like Super Duty. Often no need to wet sand

Do you always go from abralon 500 to abralon 1000? I know you mentioned hitting it with a little abranet 1000 if you were having trouble. Any tips on getting out the 500 on colors? Didn’t have much issue on white but this red was being a pain the other day

I’ve never really had an issue with it. With wet sanding you can jump a little bit more in grit.

Hey, been watching your videos as well as many others on youtube for a few weeks now. I am really confident and feel like I know what I am doing now but I am struggling to find jobs. I keep finding people who either leave me on read after I give them price, or ask me if I have done any boats before than aren't interested when they hear I haven't done any boats.
