The blur background was accidental. If it's better this way we will keep recording this way. What do you think?

My only problem with the blurry background is that the stars of the show didn't get enough focus. I LOVE DOGS!

I'm surprised you didn't know 'Mamma Mia" is by ABBA !?This significant song wraps a whole era and created a new culture.

I read somewhere that they had about 70 songs that went to number 1 in different countries

Sujy you made a really good point about the names of the songs being easy to remember. In the time before internet ABBA were trying to break out of their solo successes in Sweden and appeal to audiences with their own distinct cultures and languges so, titles that were easy to remember was very important in the begining and something they definately aimed to do, especially with the singles. There were almost 40 years between their last recording in 1982 that was released and the first new ABBA music in 2021 for the Voyage album and concert project.

That interview was in November 1976, and they had already had 3 British number 1s that year - Mamma Mia, Fernando and Dancing Queen :D

If we add "Waterloo" from 1974 then it's 4 no1s in total by these non Anglosaxon "outsiders" plus 2 no1 albums at the time ('Greatest hits" 11 weeks at no1 /"ARRIVAL" finally 10 weeks at no1 in total by mid 1977 .Up to 2021 they had 9no1 singles and 10 no1 albums in total not to mention the top5/10 singles.

They were very modest given their early success!

@@MaxSujyNorden They are still modest, 50 years on. It's just who they are. In april 50 years since Waterloo, and yes Ring Ring was there first go at Eurovision, but they didn't win the swedish tryouts, so they tried again.

I think i've heard you say u like rock music so you definitely need to react to KENT! My favourite Swedish band ever. All of their songs are amazing but maybe ''Kräm'', ''VinterNoll2'' or '' Dom Andra''. ''Utan dina andetag'' which is a calm song is their most popular song which is 24 years old and still playing on the radio sometimes.

guys amazing reaction, please you should be react to each song from ABBA right now, you can start with "Dancing queen" or "Mamma mia"

You can hear clearly, how their music progressed from basic 'Beatles'- style starting 1972 to their own very complicate and slick polished multi layer-technic pop-songs. All the way to 1982.

I recognized between 1/3-1/2 of the songs and the band didn't exist for almost 40 years and it was the men who wrote the songs and you can remember a musical that played for many years in London and NY and many more places called Mamma Mia and they made some music for others too but they didn't play themselves. A few suggestions for Swedish groups are Sabaton (they also have their own history channel on YT), Arch Enemy (the singer is from eastern Canada), Amaranthe (those bands are a bit harder), Septeber, Molly Sanden (has mixed Swedish and English songs), Zara Larsson, Floor Janson (is from the Netherlands but married to the drummer in Sabaton and has two children with him and is friends with the first three bands) We have many bands but Max Martin is quite famous as a songwriter but it is a song to start with and you will get several suggestions but they are some from me.

Where was crazy world and get on the carousel
@123billydog5 ай бұрын
Crazy World is in there, it was recorded originally during the 1974 sessions for the ABBA album so its in that part. Get On The Carousel (perfomed live in 1977 as was 'I Am An A' but also excluded here) was officially released (apart from the part included in 'ABBA ~ The Movie' so isn't included which is a bit weird as the Agnetha / Bjorn composition 'I'm Still Alive' (performed on the 79 tour is?).
@Denisedale-pm1mm5 ай бұрын
So your saying isn't included yet title is every abba song so that's a lie
@123billydog4 ай бұрын
@@Denisedale-pm1mm I think the video only includes every song recorded in the studio and eventually released. Neither 'I Am An A' or 'Get On The Carousel' were ever recorded in the studio. 'Carousel' was released in part only in 'ABBA ~ The Movie'. There are several demo's that were recorded (a batch were issued as a medley in 1994 on the 4 X CD boxset) in part. If ABBA were working on something and felt it was 'happening', they would simply stop recording and put the track away. A good example of this is the Medley Benny put together for The Visitors Deluxe release, where many attempts to record the song 'Like An Angel Passing Through My Room' were strung together and named 'From A Twinkling Star To A Passing Angel'. That will be on youtube somewhere as is the 1994 'Undeleted' Medley.

Sad that you don't have the patience to listen and react to every ABBA song. Well i grow up with their first album, Ring Ring. This was not a clever react

I think that ABBA is far more popular abroad than in Sweden. There are just so many Swedish bands that are better
@MaxSujyNorden5 ай бұрын
Can you name some popular Swedish bands? I always do research but any help is welcome.
@matshjalmarsson30085 ай бұрын
@@MaxSujyNorden Well, popular is kind of subjective, I usually don't like arena bands like Roxette, Blue Swede, Europe, etc. Sator is one exception and there are others. But I much more prefer smaller bands, and those that are a bit out of the mainstream. Like, I don't enjoy much of Bryan Adams or Justin Bieber, but I like Spirit of the West and Alanis Morisette (Canadians)
@Muckylittleme5 ай бұрын
@@matshjalmarsson3008 "Better" is also subjective. ABBA transcend their music, they are a culture phenomenon and there are ZERO women as charismatic and beautiful as Anna-Frid and Agentha period. That is objective fact. 😄

"There aré just so many Swedish bands that are better" Better than the icónic legends that ABBA are? Better songs that all ABBA masterpieces? Better singers than Agnetha Fältskog and Anni Frid 'Frida' Lyngstad? Better songwriters producers as Benny & Björn? Better culture phenomen than ABBA? Better bands that have your own museum? Better groups that have an icónic Movie? Better music that Made a musical and two movies? Better success like an album GOLD that have the récord of most weeks at Top100 un UK charts? Better quartet that Comeback with New music after almost 40 years and Top worldwide charts again? Better artist that create a New Concert with ABBAtars? Really and sincerilly there's No Other in music history like ABBA
