Summer, I have been following this case from the beginning. May comes from a wealthy family, her parents were in a monogamous marriage. Yul and May had a traditional and court wedding. Her parents paid for her and Yul’s education. Once May graduated from the university she obtain a job as a banker. Yul was suppose to go medical school, he decided he wanted to follow in his father’s foot steps and become an actor and Director. May continue work and support Yul in his career. May was buying properties and building businesses to make their families successful. Yul was on the road and while she had built two mansions one in the village in one in Lagos. May also acquired other properties to house their businesses. Yul had told Judy he was rich and owned all these properties. He was taking money out of a joint account he had with May and giving to Judy’s family. Yul had to show receipts that he owned all these properties and the money in the joint account. May had all the receipts showing she and family paid for everything. It was found in some court proceedings that he owned only 10 percent of the properties. May owned most of the properties and the courts gave only May access to the joint bank account. He has not given May any support because him and Judy don’t have anything. The real issue not that he is losing the wife but his cash cow using to buy his cars, pay the children school fees, money to galavant and cheat with other women. The courts made him give here all the movie equipment, cars and keys to properties that is in her or her families name. Judy is upset because she was told by Yul, she was going to be able to move in the mansion in Lagos with her6 children. They were living in the house in the village without May knowing, the keys was confiscated and given to May. Yul and Judy are renting and determine to undermine May. Now May sister stated that, Yul and Judy has poisoned and killed May’s son. Yul and Pete Edochie paid for a private autopsy and did not disclose the results. The police closed the case because the results was not disclosed. Pete Edochie wanted the mansion to be put into Judy son’s name. The courts does not recognize Judy as the legal wife, since Yul and May had a court wedding and the marriage is deemed as monogamous. May and siblings went and obtain the autopsy results and found the young man was poisoned. The video is out there with Mays senior sister, explaining what happened. May submitted for a divorce last year Yul ask the courts to see if he can work out with his wife. He does not want May, he want May and her family to take care of him and Judy. Yul,Judy and Pete Edochie continue to beg May not to continue with the divorce. May has a large following here in the United States, we are deeply interested in this case.

Only May is married to Yul traditionally & legally. There're no records of any marriage to Judy traditionally or legally in court or church but he did a traditional ceremony to claim his son in Judy's hometown where only Rita Edochie who is his in-law attended...you cannot call that a traditional/customary marriage since his family members did not attend to seek Judy's hand in marriage & he will have to legally divorce May to marry Judy elsewhere. The only marriage he had with Judy is word of mouth on the internet to legalize his nonexistent polygamy b/c he got caught & wanted Nigerians to feel like he already married her. Now, May wants to divorce him legally so he can legally marry his side hen & the internet Odogwu is saying NO b/c he knows the pressure will actually be on him from Judy to officially marry her. The only way he cannot marry Judy is for May to keep being his wife & she's done playing games. I applaud May for doing things her own way & in her own time. I believe May built that house & her name is on the papers for that property & she probably had receipts for the purchase of everything. There's no court in Nigeria that will give that property to May unless her name is on the papers...that's right b/c Nigeria is designed for the Patriarchy who don't care if your children are homeless...it's why May is not giving up & also why Yul is not making any noise about the house either. Between the 2 of them, only one of them is passionate about the house. This happened to my friend's mom when her husband seized her properties & married 3 more wives. When he died, the family claimed her properties as part of the man's properties & refused to return them back to her. She took them to court & b/c her name was on the papers & one of the properties was her inheritance from her late father, the court returned them to her. They dragged her to the King & the elders of their land & they also upheld the judgement of the court & she won. If her name was not on those properties, she would have lost even her own inheritance. Anita Okoye didn't have any evidence with regards all she claimed about Paul in court & as such she didn't get any of those properties awarded to her. It's the Nigerian way, they worry about the men only (husband or male children). So, the Nigerian women need to wise up. If it's your money on anything, make sure it's your name on the receipt that comes with it.
