I don't think everyone hates the characters. I've read all three of the books and I wasn't that frustrated by America. It was probably because I absolutely love Prince Maxon so it was worth going through the so called frustrating indecisiveness. It's not too time consuming to read them - you could read a single book in a day - so it's worth reading it just to try it out :) you won't be losing anything if you do.

Read it. If you end up liking it, then great. If not...i'm sure you've got bigger regrets in life. Same advice i gave my friends who were wavering about the Fault in Our Stars.

It is very much a guilty pleasure. The story as a whole is very uneven and not well written, but if you are intrigued by the fairytale/dystopian premise I 100% suggest you read the book because it really follows through on the romance and drama that you would expect from a book like this. The characters are extremely memorable and will probably be one of those casts I remember in my mind for the rest of my life even if they were annoying sometimes. Good Luck

I'm currently reading If I Were You and I just have really hard time to get into it, it's kind of boring and entertaining at the same time and I don't know what to think about it.. And I today won the City of Lost Souls on one of the Mortal Instrumets fan pages on Facebook! I'm so excited to get into this series! I already have the first book, City of Bones, so I need to buy the rest of the books to complete this series (+ City of Heavenly Fire which hasn't been translated into my mother language yet).. Really nice video :)

You should read the Dreaming Anastasia trilogy by Joy Preble :) I found it very enjoyable, and I think you would also :)

I did not like the selection at all. I'm so glad i decided not to buy them because just looking at them frustrates me. It wasn't just the characters it was the book as a whole that didn't do for me. I tried giving the second book a chance but i couldn't read more than a few chapters. And yeah, it had some funny bits but overall i wouldn't give it more than 2 stars tbh
