I believe MASH and bifrost are two coolest features of MAYA. Thank you sir for your Tutorials.

Its possible to do this in bifrost only. But you have to doit from scratch… 😄 would be nice if Autodesk would rebuild mash in BF, so we could just use it as it is or customize it futher to fit needs.

Hi Ian, I have a scene with some alembic flowers opening up. They're placed with the mash placer node and I can't seem to get the falloff to trigger the animation. Is there a way you can make a falloff work with a placer node or eco system? Cheers, Jason

I wish you explained the feature ( use velocity ).. i believe it has something to do with the movement of the objects.. but i'm not sure.. would you please give any example?

so what is difference between this and the delay node ?
@ianwaters60356 жыл бұрын
Delay works with transforms done with MASH / or pluggin in via Follow the Leader mode. Time works on deformations on the mesh you've added to MASH (so it only works with MASH in Repro mode). Basically if you have deformations you want to offset, use Time. If you have transformations you want to offset. Use Delay.

Nice Stuff! Will it handle animated alembic files with transform and/or vertex animation?
@ianwaters60358 жыл бұрын
+Markus Pech Yes, both. Just be sure to group them first (transforms on the top most object are ignored to prevent double transformations).
