Do you mean a field of grass? Or you mean adding dynamic fields? You can add deformers and fields to the nHair system

Thanks a lot for the tutorial, I have a question: will this herb respond to the Winds modifier in Nucleos? I need clothes and grass to emulate movement according to the strength of the wind in the scene.

maybe you can help me, the forums do not respond to my messages. I make a scene, I have 1 collection and 4 despritors with 3 furs and grass and everything has the "Wind" modifier, I start the frames (play blast and viewport), the animation goes on, but if I look in the playblast, then the animation goes only to the selected object, and not all at once. how can I fix this? in arnold everything will be animated in the final render? Or maybe I'm doing something unevenly?

If I understand the question correctly, you are trying to see all your xgen descriptions animate at once? That is not possible in the viewport as you can only display one xgen description at once. They should all render fine though. The only thing you can preview is all your nHair dynamic curves in viewport.

I can't get the mask to work. I saved it, checked the file path, it's the same as yours, but I click generate and it generates a bunch of new yellow lines except it's way less dense than it was a second ago before the mask and it's completely ignoring the mask :( If i up the density to 2000 and then click generate, it looks more like yours, except it's still ignoring the mask

Sorry to hear that Ethan. Did you check to see that the ptx file was created in the folder directory? It’s possible that the file path is incorrect.

@@cgjcTools yeah but as soon as I specify where the mask folder should be, hit save (floppy disk icon) and then hit generate, the density changes to like one or two yellow lines on the plane. Also I noticed I have no points folder, at least not where yours is

@@Atrumentis You need the points folder. In it you should have a file with extension .xuv Does your mesh have good UVs before you began using Xgen?

@@Atrumentis Go to the modeling tab, UV -> UV Editor and you can see how the UV is laid out.
