I’ve had most makes and I always go back to Milwaukee. They have made me a believer in their tools.

I’m honestly excited to see product development and rubber over molding on the batteries again.

I think Milwaukee, Ridgid, and Ryobi are probably using the same battery manufacturer for these tabless cells. So it would make sense for the parent company to have tabless in all their brands so they can order in bulk from the battery manufacturer to reduce the cost per cell.

As a DIY fella on a small farm my Ridgid brushless power tools are great and getting new batteries to make my tools more powerful is a plus to me. I haven't built or repaired anything these tools haven't performed flawlessly in yet! I appreciate you Vince and your nemesis as well for I have saved a lot of money never paying full price for tools! And that is real nice like! Lol

Ridgid is not owned by TTI. It's owned by Emerson Electric but is licensed to manufacture by TTI. Meanwhile, Milwaukee is owned and manufactured by TTI. That explains the race to market competition.

That new Dewalt 60V Drill is a BEAST. Its got my corded drill scared to come out of the box. Im thinking Dewalt should just make a car for those batteries.

Tabless is the way to higher the power on high voltage tool , i might be wrong but it looks like stack its not possible in high voltage like 60 or 40

@VCG Construction , I'm needing a cordless saw and heard good things about it , and was wondering if you had used one , I was thinking Milwaukee but have heard alot of bad things about them ( burning out , stopping for no reason , trigger issues).

Power , vibration while operating , generally how the quality is , I've never owned a makita other than grinders.

I bought a Ridged corded universal tool. It was good, performed, durable, versatile. I only used the one attachment. But it had replacement attachments for the business end. Vary powerful, for a universal tool.

"They aren't doing anything innovative anymore" wasn't entirely incorrect (before this announcement), but there were some bright spots. I think Pro Gear 2.0 is not getting enough attention. The bottom box that is separate from the wheels (saving interior space) in genuinely unique. Further, when they released the drawer box, IT COULD BE USED with the wheels as a bottom box, which was a genius move. But, on the tool side, it does feel a little too "me too-ey" and almost always is a middle ground between Ryobi and Milwaukee. Not a bad thing, but also not exciting.

The only thing wrong with Ridgid, is their so-called "Lifetime service Agreement" My Drill and Impact Driver are 9 years old, still going strong on the original batteries.
@wayneleung77965 ай бұрын
The battery technology from EV has advanced so quickly and their pricing had come down so quickly from China, the price and power output from all power tools batteries are lacking so much. So all these new technologies are actually really slowly. I can't blame them, Batteries are how these companies make their money.
