@1:51 "I feel like, a year ago, I really just didn't appreciate it how I'm gonna appreciate it now." Preston, there is a difference between passive listening and active listening. Early on in your journey, through no fault of your own, you were confined to passive listening, where you only listened to appreciate the "How?" aspect of it, the method of getting from Point A to Point B. Now, through all the different genres you've allowed into your knowledge bank, you've started to listen actively, finding the "Why?" in the music, the "It-Factor" in the song, the reason why it fits into the web of music. Growth, as a person, can be boiled down to understanding "why" the world around us is the way it is, rather than simply understanding "how" the world is. Now, I don't know you outside of these videos, so I can only speak for what I see, but it seems as though you've learned how to turn off the part of your brain that produces self-conscious thoughts. If you're brought to tears by a song, cry. If the song you've got on makes you want to rage, be constructive about it, but rage. If the song makes you understand life better, keep it close, and use it when the need arises, because it will. I feel as though you understand this ten-thousand times better than you did when you started. I've said it before but watching your videos re-ignites my passion to do the things I want to do. I wish the absolute best for you in everything you do, from here forward, my friend.

Yeah, AJFA has a very distinctive vibe that feels so satisfying and heavy to me. My fav from them. I think that MOP have some low points, and RTL was still a tiny bit immature in some ways. I know people talk shit about AJFA because of lack of bass and "bad production" but I never bothered.

@TheAskald5 жыл бұрын
@@northerner8967 Why it doesn't matter in my opinion: Metallica has some songs where bass is important, like Orion, From Whom The Bell Tolls, Anesthesia, My Friend Of Misery, The God That Failed, The Call Of Ktulu, etc... But apart from these specials songs, bass is just this thing barely audible that fills the low part of the auditive spectrum. Some bands actually use bass as a true and independant instrument, like Tool, Iron Maiden, or NeObliviscaris. But in a lot of their songs, Metallica don't use bass as an instrument that truly provides something, so it doesn't matter for me that it's absent of AJFA, as it's already pretty much absent on most of their songs. It's just the icing on the cake, you don't need it to make a good cake. And AJFA is Metallica's best cake for me. It would have been better with bass, but it doesn't need it to be, to me, at least as good as MOP & RTL

I've spent the last two hours watching your reaction videos to my most favorite rock/metal songs. You're like me into the guitar solos and bass from the drums, the transitions of the music. Definitely loving each video and I'm definitely SUBSCRIBED. Are you an artist yourself? Cause I was told by a great friend of mine who's an excellent rapper that in order to be great at music you have to have a love for ALL different kinds. And if you're an artist you're well on your way to making it.

Live in Moscow. I’ve been asking for it for months now on most every video he’s done. I’ve all but given up on him ever doing it. He doesn’t know what he’s missing.

I'm glad you chose to redo this reaction to the lyric video it pains me to see people react to the official video because it takes away from the song. In Justice for All is probably the most underrated album still my favorite.

Great to see you listen to this again, sad that you haven't listened to it in a year. Buy the album (do kids still buy albums these days?) and listen to the whole thing three times in a row. And Justice for All is one of those perfect albums, you will not be disappointed. Keep up the journey, excellent work as always.

Bro! When I saw your original reaction to this song, (Which was my first time seeing a black dude watch metal), I knew then that you needed to "grow" in this genre to have an accurate grasp of it. Then you said it here. You were the very first black reaction channel I ever saw. You're still my favorite. Keep it going dawg!
@pullersinc.8484 жыл бұрын
I really like how you pick up on the nuances and subtleties of these metal songs. It means you are actually listening and soaking it in. You're the best "reaction" channel imo because of this....and yes, Metallica is king lol.
