Mayberry RFD (The Andy Griffith Show Theme-instrumental guitar) arr. Stephen Bennett

Hi Y'all! I wanted to get at least one song up before the new year. With two hours to spare (at least where I am!) here's "The Fishing Hole". That's the original title. Many thanks to Stephen Bennett for his awesome arrangement and infinite patience in teaching it to me!! Hope you're all out there whistling along and snapping your fingers like they did on the Andy Griffith Show! Happy New Year too all my You Tube friends! Shame you're not still in VA. TE is doing quite a few gigs there in May & June. Doc was my first hero and I've met him several times starting when I was 19. TE is most definitely a treat of a lifetime. Hope you get to see hi soon. I'm a tad far for lessons up north.

I have an avian companion of 14 years named "Astro" (a Scarlet Macaw) who dances to music he likes. You Are My Sunshine is his favorite song, and that's the only one he'll dance to that I can play. I 've seen him dance to several of your songs...maybe I need some more lessons.

Ha, Brilliant. I'd forgotten all about that tune, even though it was perhaps the first one I ever worked on (when I was about 15 and the show was on the telly). I could probably play it better back then than I could right now, but now it's back in my head it's on my relearn list. And please forgive the nostalgic ramblings of an Old man (it's all Bunny's fault) but Don Knots in Andy Griffith's Mayberry was such a funny man. The tune make me feel good.
