Alex was an instant "only one bed" for me. I can see him bored in class or training in the gym and looking a little to long at a guy stretching exposing a little ab. Maybe he daydreams about being on the bus for an away meet and it breaks down so his teammates have to stay at a hotel over night and there's not enough rooms so people have to bunk up together. Maybe he catches the farmer passing out near his house after trying to run home from some beach fishing and he contemplates bringing them inside just before Linus comes by and steals them away. My boy just wants to hold and be held through the night. Respect the fake dating though, but that feels like the next step in his awakening journey to me.

Jodi comes from a traditional, religious family that pressured her to marry Kent to not shame the family. Kent didn't know what to do for work to support his new family. He didn't do well in high school so scholarships were off the table. He couldn't afford any technical schools either. So he joined the military hoping they would train him in a trade, he'd do his 4 years, and he'd get out able to provide for his wife and son. But then the war started.
