Stuart Buckley, the bank’s electrician acted as part of the gang who raided Mayfair’s Bank of America on the 16th November 1976. Key evidence in the trial came from Stuart Buckley, the "inside man" who turned police informant. Buckley, who worked at the bank as an electrician, told officers the raid was the gang's second attempt. Buckley finally obtained the combination by hiding in the roof space above the vault door and peering through a hole in the ceiling as officials opened it. Seven men received jail terms totalling 100 years however the man said to have masterminded the plan, escaped justice by fleeing abroad.

So the bank closes and there would be 2 hours before security appears. Like seriously? Even after the attempted robbery they didn't think to change their security policy?

Interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent photography reenactments scenes enabling viewers to better understand what the orator was describing. Wasn't detective Jack Slipper involved with the " Great Train 🚆 robbery in 1963???

Yes! He was 39 yrs old, a Det Sgt of The Flying Squad, and one of the lead detectives on The GTR, in 1963. On March 1973 he was promoted Chief Super of Flying Squad. He retired in 1979, wrote his autobiography "Slipper of the Yard" in 1981, and died in 2005 at the age of 81.

One of the gang arrived late for the robbery, double parked his car, and got a parking ticket. That's how they found "Son of Sam" murderer in San Francisco. He had gotten a parking ticket.
