@combatsportlover69193 жыл бұрын
Is it bad form to throw punches vertical the way Manny Pacquiao does it. Or the way it was taught old school bare knuckle days of Dempsey and Langford.
@trooper51313 жыл бұрын
@@combatsportlover6919 not necessarily bad, other martial arts use vertical punches because of the way our wrists and knuckles line up - but getting your punches palm down helps with competition and having the leather of the glove do more damage to soft tissue and skin while rotating your punch horizontally. In a boxing match both types of punches are acceptable, we see loma throw vertical punches to pierce traditional guard all the time, but doesn't throw all of his punches that way. If you see the Mayweather video doing this work out he pronates his punches everytime. Which was my initial point lol sorry for the long explanation, wasn't sure if your comment was a question or statement lol
