We bought the 2017 Mazda CX-5 GT brand new in 2017, and after 2 years we absolutley love it.
The CX-5 is on of my favourite SUV's on the market and it's quality shines through every day.
The things that I love about this Mazda CX-5 GT are it's comfort and style, it's affordability and realiabilty.
The things I dislike about the 2017 Mazda CX-5 GT are the Paiona Black inserts that scratch easily and the lack on Highway Power for overtaking.
Theres not much to not like about this CX-5.
All in All if it's a town car you're looking for then this is your choice, if you are running Highway Miles and need a little more power, get the 2019 Mazda CX-5 GT or above, these run the excat same motor but with a added Turbo.

Also bare in mind that the turbo will make you pay a lot for repairs down the road. Cars without them are less complicated less things can go wrong

That's why I commented above, asking if what quirks (if any) there may be w/ this 2.5T, as I understand Turbo requires some proper use, or maintenance would get messy/costly.

If you change the oil at 3 to 5k you will have no problems.Also most of the turbos on modern cars are made by honeywell and meet aircraft standards and have extremely low failure rates.I just bought a CX-30 Turbo and spoke with the techs and they have many CX-9s that are several years old and no major problems--they also said they do maybe a turbo replacement each month at the most and most of those are no oil changes or very high mileage--last one they did was a CX-9 and it had 191k when the turbo failed.

We traded this for the 2019 as it came out with a Turbo on the same 2.5l engine. I highly recommend ypu get the Turbo. It is a Huge difference

I just traded my 2015 cx-9 for the 2015 cx-5, I wanted more fuel efficiency and better tech package. My cx-9 has been great (not the best out there I know) with power. So power is a concern for me. I also hear turbo engines although fun, come with lot more possibilities for issues. I will have to check out your channel and see how you are doing with the turbo engine. Might trade up for a cx-30 turbo in 4-5 years time.

I agree the design language is near perfect, however they will eventually have to change it...because market forces may demand it.

Hi, what do you think of the Mazda CX30 that is due for release at the end if the year? All the black cladding is the only concern I have. Your thoughts please.
@ThrottleDownunder
@ThrottleDownunder 5 жыл бұрын
I think for a size point of view it will be great, the CX3 is really I similar unusable size like the Maxda2, but the CX5 is too big for a lot of people. I really dislike that plastic wheel arches and cladding, but I think it will sell well.

The plastic wheel arches seem to be what car manufacturers think people want as part of the SUV look. The new RAV has it and the Mazda’s.

@@bobfrombrisbane1831 yes, I guess from a practical view, if you're semi off roading, there will be less stones chips etc, but it looks horrible haha
