"Quick Build" proceeds to rip through video of installing engine, fuel and cooling systems complete with custom made brackets. Quick Video maybe, but this is a pretty extensive project, right? (Honestly, I wouldn't mind if you slowed them down a bit and talked more details about various parts/procedures etc. E.g., all the fuel system stuff, what's the stock set up, what's modified and why?)

The FD is an amazing car...as long as you have a 2nd car. 😆 I bought my first one in 1996 and it was my only car. Tough to live with on a day to day basis. I still think it's the best looking car ever made though. The design is just perfect aesthetically IMO.

Loving the build. My anxiety is blasting off the charts for the awaiting the day you guys take it to the track. I think the 8374 iwg would have been a little better suited but if the track is a bit tighter than the turbo you guys picked will be better. I have my fuel pressure regulator in the same spot on my Fd and Cam from Petit told me to move it. He said that with the amount of heat that is created during trackdays that the gasket inside the regulator gets toasted. Once it gets toasted it will leak fuel onto your engine and cause an engine fire. I will be relocating mine very soon. Thanks for the video and I look forward to seeing the finish project. Brap on

To have an easier time undoing any hoses in the future and preventing corrosion, dielectric grease lightly applied to those surfaces works like a treat. Any o ring, any electrical connector, grounds, Ect it is a great tool. Silicone brake lube can also be used for non electrical stuff.

The body had turned out so amazing, I'd been waiting for this series! But doing it as a quick build must've taken a long time to shoot lol. And this format still worked as a build series vs the usual length with more episodes. I really like your super clean and oem+ builds tho and the FD is no exception, it's starting strong. Can't wait to watch it come together!

Might want to think about installing a brake master cylinder brace. The firewall flexes under hard braking, which eventually deforms the metal and results in a mushy pedal feel. I have one from IRP Performance and it is great.

This series is soooo good. Not sure if the plan is to get it all running first but I personally would revist the pipes and hoses in the engine bay as the rest of the car is really top notch. I wouldn't want a mix of silicon and clamps etc as it detracts from the bay

simple way. always drop the front subframe onto a bench. build you motor and gearbox combo on the bench, on the subframe. Then wheel the bench under the car and lower car down. nothing has to hang and swing and you have great access to the engine to assemble everything prior to installation.

Way back when I had my 1993 RX7 R1 there was just nothing cool on the market. Nobody knew how to tune these cars or anything. Watching this makes me want to get another one since the market is finally catching up to what I wanted. A company like Cobb or equivalent should make a V-mount intercooler kit with cast and tanks for this application along with carbon fiber ductwork. Also have a ram air carbon fiber airbox option to prevent heat soak.
