Hey those wheels on the rear looked good! Seems like finding the correct balance between front tires grip and rear tire grip can make or break how easy it is to continuous drift with seamless transitions.

I don’t really drift much at all anymore but when I used to have an FRS 10 years ago I got pretty damn good at it. One thing I see new people messing up with is not fully committing to the slide and not taking enough speed to continue the slide. Eventually it becomes easy.

do u think the rx8 will drift better with smaller diameter rear wheel setup? loved the action pics! and when you dropped the eurobeat! 🔥🔥🔥 😂

It definitely drifts more easily with narrower rear tires. these were actually a bit tall - I'm trying 235/40/17 or 225/45/17 next. hoping for more rear traction, but not TOO much rear traction!

hey quick question, did any of the RX8's come with a torsen diff, was it all TFS?

All rx8 with manual tranny have torsen. Even autos with sport package have the 4.44 torsen. Only base model autos with 16" wheels have open diff

I'm stoked you finally gave drifting a try! So when are we doing tandems? Lol. If you're car has enough self-steer/caster, you could try letting go of the wheel during the transitions and letting the throttle and weight transfer do the work instead of chasing the wheel with your hands. You made a lot of progress in your first event. 👍

When I stop spinning! It's also my daily... but regarding caster, I'm running minimum caster because my car gets more camber when I go minimum caster. Now that I'm going back to kumhos, which need less camber, I'll Max out caster. My car does not seem to have a strong self centering effect at the moment. And it was pretty rough with A052s up front and old hard skinny tires out back, but I've got better rubber lined up for next event, I'll be at drift nirvana may, JC and WC

I loved watching your progression run to run. You did really good. Just try to "steer" it less, you got crossed up multiple times. Try steering with the throttle more. Keen to watch your next event.

Thanks man. I am running minimum caster, thinking of maxing out caster to help with "self steering". The G35 I rode with could let go of the wheel to catch drifts, I'll try to get there!

how were temperatures during the run' any cooling mods ?

I did see 200F. I started running the heat continuously and that helps the car cool faster. I have under drive water pump pulley and stronger water ratio and reprogrammed ras fans but otherwise OEM coming.
