TO ANYONE WONDERING WHAT SIZE TO GET I spoke to the people at armpower that sell the Mazurenko handle. If your middlefinger measures below 10 cm in lenght you buy the Ø50, from 10 - 12 cm you get the Ø60 and above 12 cm you get the Ø70.

just to share my personal opinion, the older Mazurenko handle roller, which made from solid nylon spin better than the those new 3D print.

I don't know how they are attached. But if you had access to a 3d printer or lathe, you could probably make you're own diameter grips.

You are doing great things for the sport and that benefits all of us who are enthusiasts, so thank you Ryan! I've been watching since you were doing high reps and using a weight stack in the backyard. Then you disappeared, but thankfully came back better than ever. Less than 2 yrs until my super match with Danny Teach, you'll see!

That's awesome brother. Who are you IRL? I'm keen to follow your progress. Danny is a bad man......I am very excited about having another crack at beating him in a couple if weeks time at Arnold's. And as always, thank you for your support.
@LYFJV5 жыл бұрын
IRL I'm a nobody as of yet. I've pulled at AAA nationals and Michigan states 2 years back. But I have 3 young kids and worked overtime two yrs straight so AW had to get put on the shelf. However, I'm going back all in starting a month ago, I'm strong, study hard, love technique and specific power. I've copied your lifts as well as what Herman Stevens is doing, and what's posted on Amberts and my lifts already compare or exceed in some areas, fall short in a few others. My wrist is good, arm very strong, but must bring pronation up some. I picked Danny from AUS because we have a similar build, I'm 6'2" 215 right now and I pull best inside. I've moved 160 on the pully in a deep (real deep) hook but I'm just getting started. Anyway, just threw out Danny's name because I've watched him against Justin Bishop and saw our build and style seemed similar, at least in that match. One more month and I'll put something on film . Also building a shed in my backyard loaded with AW specific stuff to train. My goal in state champ in Michigan this Sept. Cheers Ryan!

Another enjoyable vid. Love seeing the training. Would be cool to see the numbers you are doing with side pressure, back pressure etc via cable machine on an arm wrestling table. Cheers

@Bablobiggins5 жыл бұрын
hey Ryan how do you tell if it's a true weight or half weight pulley system?
@ryanbluebowen5 жыл бұрын
Simplest way is to observe how much the plates rise relative to how much you pull the cable. If the plates rise the same distance it's true weight. If they rise half the distance it's halfweight. It's based on pulleys. If the weight has a single cable and the lift point is a pulley it'll be half weight. The true stacks at my gym have two cables both at pulley attachments which converts to true weight. But all in all when in doubt......out your bodyweight on the stack then swing off the cable.....if you don't drop it's true.

Bit of both to be honest. It hurts.....could i rehab it and make it strong? Yes....but I choose to let it progress slowly....where my right into hard. Reason is, I know I only have so many hours in my lifetime to dedicate to the sport, and I want to reach world elite levels so I figure my best chance is to dedicate most of those available training hours to my most talented arm.

@@ryanbluebowen it seems like something obviously to do. You should be squatting. running and the like. It will make your mind strong give you more power and confidence. I haven't felt the 70. I'd like to. Bigger is normally harder. But the failure is right at the finger tips and the rest of the handle is just for comfort sake, so in this case I'd expect to be able to lift the same on either
@tribalpuller5 жыл бұрын
yes, bigger diameter is harder to pull. i made roller 2 inch, 2.5.inch and 3 inci in the pass. i fancy 2 inch the most, my hands are small. the other two i sold to friends.
