@undercoverxmoon singing is all about unique tones and styles that mark one as different from the "norm": She has that, for sure, now, since style is subjective, it is of course entirely possible that someone might simply not like that particular style....but to say that she can't sing is stretching things a bit....

I agree. I think he was one of the most versatile composers/musicians the world of music has ever known. Paired with Hope they made a duo that was nothing short of phenomenal. Their music was poetic, evocative, poignant, haunting.....and utterly brilliant.

I've seen her perform dozens of times. This is her. This is what you get. The increased movement is a function of "Blue Flower" being a tambourine heavy song. She is a private person, introverted and quite bashful. It's not an act. I think you can audibly hear the pain in her voice over her performance. One of the reasons she is so great.

I discovered mazzy star a couple of years ago from watching Rick and Morty. Wow, guess back in the 90's I was listening to Guns and Roses etc. I lost my 19 year old son Joseph in December 2003. I bet he listened to them. I miss him so much 💔

Best band ever. The truly sad thing, indeed near tragic, is that I just discovered Mazzy Star about a year ago, despite living through the era. Whenever I hear Hope Sandoval, I am transported back to the late 80s/early 90s when life's optimism, hope and opportunity loomed large before me like a mountain....only to discover that it was a mound of dog crap.

Man I so wish to be that microphone. What an unbelievable woman with an absolute killer look + voice, This is what I will always remember my 90s, felling in love for the first time.... she's out of my life but this song and fade into you will never leave me.

I think the line 'Your feet rough heat' is off. Makes no sense plus sounds to me more like 'your king of cool' though I have not researched, just listened.

Happy that they are back together. A friend was lucky to catch them on tour on Nov. 2013. They sound just like they did back then.

Hope has alot of potential and can do much better if the sound of her vocals didnt get drowned out by the band. Some stuff is great some neefs work although as an artist I enjoy her best unplugged w acoustic playing. Band wise its not clear.

Mazzy Star alone has 6 studio albums, the last of which released in 2018. Hope Sandoval never stopped making music! She had a backing band, The Warm Intentions that released a lot of albums, and she still collaborates and releases music with other artists. It's pretty much all good to great.

If this had come out back in the 1960s, early 70s, it would have nailed #1 on the charts. She's the ONLY artist I've found, who literally captures that time period with everything about her, and that she does, way she acts.
