Why does Daniel need it now? What are my responsibilities in this situation, if any, I'm confused and delighted by this sloganeering child, but I fear something darker may lay under the surface, that shrimp Jesus will return. *[Wheezing and laughing]* Alright, let's take it- Shrimp! i both love and hate how quickly the brothers disregard the possibility that “shrimp heaven now” could be a religious conviction rather than a proclamation of hunger. why would a toddler be familiar with heaven as a word and concept if that toddler were not religious? it’s equally possible that daniel believes the shrimp, in their tanks, exist in a limbo or purgatory of sorts: they can neither live freely in the ocean, nor rest peacefully in our stomachs. thus, the tank is a prison from which daniel wants to liberate/deliver the shrimp
