My exact words. I think they would do better with a newer setup, too. It seems like they are doing too much work to just recover the gold, but as you know, we make use of the things we can afford at the time. I would love to see a video with the new equipment and their recovery rate from it though!

@@mbmmllc Right on Jason! Wouldn't miss it for NASCAR or Rodeos. Thanks again for the truly great mining videos. One more thing, kudos to you for not disturbing the historical artifacts at your secret mine. I would have called the new mine, "Pandora's Box", due to the numerous entities, regulations involved. My understanding after BLM approved my Casual Use Notice is we can't disturb anything, even clearing road of nails, etc. Also, whoever owns the property, whether Public Lands or Private Land, owns the artifacts.

Jason! If you haven’t ran that stuff from cali. Yet may I suggest you put the plastic over the water on the shaker table just to see if that may help keep that very fine gold from floating away. My only question, why not put in another crusher to make all crushed down to more or less dust. And have a hopper installed to hold the crushed and then mix into the water slurry. To run on the shaker table.
@Porty1119
@Porty1119 Жыл бұрын
@@rdland2985 You'd want to use a ball mill or rod mill for fine grinding like that. I agree though, a finer grind would be worth trying. Personally I think I'd grind the table tailings and then either recirculate them over the table or send them to a flotation circuit.
@rdland2985
@rdland2985 Жыл бұрын
@Porty1119 yes a finer grind of the tailings would free up more gold... but would it be worth the effort if it isn't going to be worth it in long run of gold production. I went a did more research onto it and you are definitely correct on the ball or rod grind to make it I to more of a powder. Mbmm uses a different style of shaker table where the lines are inverted into the table instead of sticking up through the table. But he also smelts the a and b run off off the table to release all gold and turn it into a button at the end of the smelting process.

@@rdland2985 All depends on the mineralogy! A lot of trial-and-error experimentation is called for when processing a new ore type.
@matthewmartinez1091
@matthewmartinez1091 Жыл бұрын
Hello Jason I've been watching a lot of your videos I've never seen that type of ore before and or let me correct myself I've seen it before but I was never informed of what it was or seen it on a gold mine video. I have a little bit of knowledge about alchemy. And from my understanding whenever gold is in colloidal form when it's suspended in acid it is purple. This is because of the tin that it came into contact with while it was suspended in acid form. The only way to extract it is to re dissolve in aqua regia and you can drop it with SMB or even a piece of copper. If they're crushing it and running it through a mill then all of that colloidal gold is getting washed away.
@Spudz76
@Spudz76 Жыл бұрын
Yeah that's why they smelt it all (A+B concentrate buckets). Panning was just for a peek at the free gold content, they already know about half is free and half is locked up in the other heavies.
@matthewmartinez1091
@matthewmartinez1091 Жыл бұрын
@@Spudz76 that's good to know spuds but on top of that brother some gold is so fine that it evaporates upon smelting. They should at least try to do an acid test and see if they get more with a leech assay just a suggestion.

Hey Jason, I wonder if you could offer a better way/equipment that might catch more gold on the shaker table. It might be that watching this video, instead of in person, it seems like a much larger amount of water was running over the material. However, you did mention that it had raised riffles, so maybe that is why. Just a thought. I bet you had fun, though!!! It looks like ,fantastic, rich ore!! Warm hugs from Alabama ❤️
@Spudz76
@Spudz76 Жыл бұрын
Without about that much flow all that larger chunk that made it through the second mill would get in the way instead of heading off the far edge. Likely when the chunk problem is solved and all that goes to the table is dust, then the flow could be tuned lower more like you may expect. However since A+B cons both get smelted it doesn't really matter how visually perfect the table runs as long as nothing but tailings are rejected. But definite room for tuning, especially getting the ore pulverized better so the slurry is less of a "stew" and more of a "rock-milk".

If i were them id mount a set if wheels ti a piece of plywood about 2"thick, spaced do a plastic barrel will roll on it, use a eletric scooter to spin the barrel go to a salvage yard, and get some steel chunks sbout 2"x 2" maybe a few truck axels cut into 6" lengths, let it spin at 10-15 rpm overnight the oversized dtuff and the sand tailings both could be ran through it. Probably fiill the inside with 12" x 36". Sheets of 4" steel plate to hive the steel domething harder to crush the rocks against. Getting it spinning with a steel hexagon to toss everything then the heavy steel crashing down on it. It should make powder of it in just a few hours. The rock crusher seem to be a bit slow. Seems adding a modern 5speed transmission with a pulley on the tail shaft. So ut can be ran in 2nd or 3rd gear or 1st with the engine at a higher rpm. Sround 2500 rpm that engine wiuld be making about peak torque, and the addition of a electronic governor to keep the engine at a steady rpm. Even under a load. Preventing it from bogging down. I'd build a shed over the mine with solar panels. So the power is free, also the mill. So bedides some gas the mill runs free, if its lights only, a 24 v battery, and 24vdc led lighting in the mine. I never saw a mine so well lit!
