However, is the gathering of information that will take long such as utility bills, lease, mortgages, life and health insurances, medical histories on both being beneficiaries, photos, tax returns filled jointly and the list goes on. I personally prefer to wait and have as much done....

The only thing that should be required for permanent legal residency through marriage is a clean background check, and an approved I-130. After that approval should be automatic. Anything more is a violation of the American spouses due process rights and most likely the first amendment.

If you’re someone able to learn from NOLO immigration books, any other books on immigration matters, USCIS instructions, blogs about immigration , youtube videos etc. then take yourself 2-3 months to watch as many videos as possible, browse the USCIS website and I promise you will be as confident as this lawyer to file for your own adjustment of status I-485, employment authorization I-765, affidavit of support I-864, application for travel document I-131 if you need to travel during the process of your application plus supporting documents. USCIS websight says. Records updated to show fingerprints were taken. No they werent. At least not in the united states'. She was fingerprinted in Japan for her fiance visa. I only submitted aos paperwork. I don't know what to think.

We are trying to figure out if it is easier to do petition for an alien relative or do adjustment of status on an F1 since he will be attending grad school next year in Florida. Hello! My confusion lies when it comes with the I-130. On the form it says the petitioner/US citizen should fill it out while the beneficiary fills out the i-485. But if they come on a k1 visa is it required to fill the i-130 too? Some people are saying yes others are saying no so I'm confused. I went to Mexico as US born citizen to get married there with a Mexico born citizen in June 2019.. I filled for him to get the spousal Visa Jan 2020. I received an approval a couple weeks ago saying paperwork was transferred and it would be 45 days. What is the next step that USCIS ? What does the approval and wait 45 days mean? Okay one thing you denied address some people may wait for AOS because maybe the petitioners income was not at the level it needs to be so they waited till the next tax transcript came in so it shows their new higher wage. Sometimes it has nothing to do with the fees and everything with income requirements
