I was sitting across from Grant at the scrimmage and i woukd say Xhekaj, Thorpe and Nadeau were also impressive. Thorpe has a heavy shot and Nadeau is a great skater. Florian has the makings of the power forward we hoped Anderson would become.

I watched both periods of the scrimmage. Hage was good, but I honestly expected more he seemed to be uninvolved. Rarely heard his name mentioned on plays. The name I did hear EVERY time he was on the ice was Florian.

What ? Beck had a long season ? He was knocked out of the playoffs and had 24 days rest before his 5 game Memorial Cup. If Beck ever makes it to the Montreal lineup, he will never be any higher than a 4th liner. He had timely goals at the M tourney, but his work ethic was not consistence. He'll be KHL caliber, not NHL when he's fully developed, in my humble opinion

I watched the game as others did and the first trhing I thought of was that nobody stood out as having good enough skating to be an impact player.BEST skater is a vague term because there are so many factors that make a good player like is a player a perimeter skater edge work how is his puck protection.A very big factor in a player is does the player skate with his teammates or does he take off by himself givcing himself no outs or good passes there is just far too much to look at and that is what I do I look at all the little things and determine a players IQ alongside their overall skating their shooting scoring IQ etc etc. I really can't stand perimeter players I want players that attack the net which Hage did do on that on that one goal but he was attacking a young Habs prospect not an HNL defenseman.
