You understand the training of young puppies so well. I’ve seen so many ppl that expect a puppy to be like a young child or understand what the words coming out of there mouth mean. I have a 100 pound pit bull and he is so sweet. It took daily walks multiple times and daily training if I had a job at the time it wouldn’t be able to be done as well. The best asset I was able to use was the doggie day care allowed him to come in a couple times a week for 20 dollars a day. They didn’t allow dogs that weren’t fixed had certain vaccinations they get when they were older I think it was a year old . However they made an exception and implemented a puppy daycare program because of him they absolutely adored him. He would play with the big dogs and get tossed around like a rag doll and he loved it. Those big dogs taught him so much. He’s turned out to be the best friend

We can’t get anywhere near his collar without him biting our hands or sleeves. Even giving him a treat is impossible to do without him biting our fingers. He is CONSTANTLY biting us, anytime we get out hands anywhere near his head, collar or body. It does not matter how much tug of war, or playing we do beforehand to tire him out. We could play tug or fetch for 30 minutes, or go for an hour walk, and he is still biting afterwards.

I hope this helps but I'll hold a treat in my hand where the treat is barely exposed. My dog will try to get it and usually bite a little. I will reward them with the treat when they try to take it nicely. They learn the difference between my flesh and their food. I'll tell them "Nice" and show them the barely exposed food and they will start taking it with caution instead of biting.

When you said that tire your puppy out when you want them to lay with you and cuddle, would you on the couch? I don’t have to do that. All I have to do is call my dogs name and say cuddle time and she knows that playtime is over and automatically settles down I just needed to know how to get her to stop biting when we’re playing tug-of-war because she would always grab my hands and bite my hands and I would say ouch and she’d get all sad and run away and think that she hurt me really bad and I thought that saying ouch would like tell her hey you hurt me let’s try this again, but you showing me how to play with her and like take it away and grab her collar and for her to think that if she accidentally bites me while we’re playing to take the toy away and she’ll realize OK play times over and when I give it back to her, she knows to correct that behavior and try not to bite. You really helped me. Thank you.

But she doesn't do the same with my kids as they don't know how to not move fast away from her bites... So leash training will begin ASAP as to help with her issues... We faced the same issue with our pup. We found that even small treats could upset her tummy. What worked for us was switching to very low-calorie training treats or even using bits of her regular kibble. You can also try things like freeze-dried chicken or sweet potato, which are gentle on their stomachs. Just make sure to adjust her regular food accordingly to avoid any tummy troubles.
