Im currently on holiday having a miserable time, thousands of miles from home. As a fan of The Saint, i put this episode on to calm my nerves and take me to a happier place. About 5 minutes into the episode, i realised i had read this story a mere few weeks ago in the book The Saint in Europe. I love how when they adapt the Charteris stories, they are often verbatim. Very accurate, and i really appreciated that.

I was once 1 meter away from Roger Moore when I worked in Brentano's Book Store in 1975 in the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Staring me right in the eye he asked where the gift cards were. I was so stunned at how handsome he was I couldn't speak. He was exactly the same as in this movie. So nice to take the afternoon off from Trump and Harris and just spend some time next to Roger! @@Retroscoop To be fair, Ian Ogilvy was almost as charming as Roger Moore, and even more athletic, in the role of Simon Templar. Unfortunately, due to directorial gaffes, RETURN OF THE SAINT was not given a fair chance in the ratings, lasting only one season. (I may be speaking heresy, but I thought Ogilvy's white Jaguar XJS was sleeker than the legendary Volvo 1800S from the original series!)
