I'd give him one more than that! For the simple fact that HE'S been proven wrong. Not only himself. But his instructor Dillman! He's still perpetuating the nonsense! Favorite McDojo episode?! Damn man... I dk? I enjoy the lot of them honestly. I can't pick one off the top of my head...

Fuck a Duck. Can we please put these people out of their misery. ALL CHI is is Chinese word for energy. Your breath. Your internal energy that you cultivate. THATS IT. THATS ALL IT IS. It's not some mystical force. This isn't Dragonball Z. This is real life. And as someone who took real traditional martial arts; specifically Kung Fu; it's tiring seeing these Kung fools talking about what these fantasize chi to be and what they can do. And the worst are the students. Who in their right minds believes this trash? But apparently with the schools they have someone is. So All in All. Chi is energy. If you breath you have chi or "hei" (in Cantonese). It's not superstition, it's actually science.

As a martial arts instructor, I like to see your content that protects young students and exposes the worst of the worst about McDojos. Save the children. It's worse than you would think.

Yeah I have a friend who is a mcdojo student and I felt bad Bcz his doing it for years(2 years to be exact). as an assistant coach in kali and a Mauy Thai practitioner i give him a 2 month membership and teaches him some kali so he knows real self defense. He struggles for a month but I convinced him to push harder so he can be better. This is why I hate Mcdojos

no touch knockouts are not mcdojo. They are bullshido. While bullshido is martial art BS/fraud, mcdojo is a business practice to capitalize $$$ excessively on martial art taught, even if by lowering its quality (example: giving out blackbelts often to those who pay in person or online). While bullshido is done by absolutely nonsensical frauds like Leon Jay, mcdojo can be practiced by anyone, both frauds, like Leon Jay (if he does), or even the most legitimate instructors, such as Rorion Gracie of BJJ (allegedly does via "Gracie University"). What you see in video is bullshido, although Leon Jay can also engage in mcdojo practices as well.

I hate to think about all the people who have been victimised like that, especially children. Most parents have no way to judge these things. Setting aside all the other things, imagine a child (and adults too) being given a black belt and accolades. It's a source of pride, a real achievement. Then they eventually realise that it all meant nothing. It can be devastating.

I am going to say this one is my favorite. The reason being there is so much of a convergence of deception, delusion, bullshit, real stuff that is taken way off course by bullshit, and examples of how when someone believes incorrectly how things work they extrapolate to ridiculousness. That student moving his own leg - clearly faking being passed out - if this is how Leon Jay's demos go down it is amazing, fascinating, that he could delude himself into believing he could demonstrate his capabilities for real on a volunteer. When deceiver crosses over into delusion - that is one of the most fascinating things to me.

The horrible irony is that when I saw Prof. Wally Jay give a seminar in the late 90's, he made fun of the "no-touch" bs in his seminar. This was a seminar that included Dillman (before he branched into no-touch), and Remy Presas.

Dillman’s a Starbucks story is so unbelievable because even if he thought he did “move the line” he would be the last person or the person with a gap between him and a person looking dumbfounded at the people looking at them. If a kid in high school pushed you and they looked behind themselves the pushed person would deck that guy the moment he turned back around - or maybe that is just my neighborhood. I think the episode (or part) that I liked most was when you were going over the things you knew in martial arts and talked about your weapon experience inclusive of guns. Sounds stupid but where I was from the guns part of the equation was not talked about in terms of the experience of the teachers. Refreshing.

Having found myself in seminar nearly 20yrs ago with bowman, dilman, Jim corn and Evan pantazi , not knowing what to expect and signed up through and school they looked to affiliate with ...I can confirm I have been in one of those groups with dilman moving everyone with his chi and teaching energy work, I can confirm it's mass suggestion, group coercion and no one wanting to point out the emperor is naked. The power of chi did unfortunately move me. It moved me to leave martial arts for years

I love what you are doing. I have been in martial arts for a long time. I have seen a lot of terrible behaviour, on the other hand, I have also seen a lot of generosity and positive behaviour. I am not sure what is my favourite video you have put out. Some, where children and youth are being harmed by these creeps using their position of authority against them really fill me with anger. They are not fun to watch, but are the most important service you put out to the community. Others, like this one, where we see the cultish behaviour of martial artists, make me laugh. They are my favourite, because it gives me pause to consider when and where have I drank the koolaid. Keep up the good work, and thanks for doing what you do.

And then I think he ended up either cutting himself or someone else.. I think they were doing an Indian martial arts or something.. And if it wasn't you that done the video I'm thinking of(I am sure it was), then it could've been Steven Strangles.. Which sometimes does similar videos about mocking and exposing the bs trainers.. I mention his channel not only in case I'm mistaken but also because I think it would make a good episode or stream if you guys got together to chat.. You both do Brazilian jiu-jitsu too so would be a starting point for you two having something in common..💪

I used to occasionally “work out” (if you can call everyone sitting around in a circle eating Cheetos and drinking sodas a workout) with some of these guys and their expanded universe. (Im a hard core 4th Dan Shotokan guy and didn’t believing this stuff for a minute) I asked one of them to knock me out with his mind. They were reluctant and warned me about how dangerous it was if my chi wasn’t yada yada yada. I reminded them that I’ve fought some pretty bad ass fighters in my time, and they all knew it too. (I have my own reputation of being on of em in my home town.) So he agreed. Stood there with his hands pointing at me like some sort of Jedi force push. Well, we stood there, and we stood there, and we stood there! Then he said. aww! I think I just saw you wobble there a little. I was like no you didn’t. I’ve just been standing here. They told me someone like Dilman who has stronger Ki could do it better. Maybe I did have my tongue on the roof of my mouth, I’m pretty sure I didn’t have my big toe sticking up. I’m guessing I didn’t pass out because I didn’t actually believe it could possibly work. What kind of excuse is that! When I hit somebody hard, like we do in Shotokan karate, it doesn’t matter wether they believe I knocked their block off or cracked their ribs or not! Reality sets in! My stuff works against anyone. They don’t have to be part of my cult for my techniques to be effective.

Hey Rob, there's a guy on KZbin called Don Shipley. He outs fake US Navy SEALs on-line. He describes that the top 'professions' of fake SEALs are martial arts or firearms instructors. It would be interesting to look at these guys martial arts schools and rate them against your McDojo criteria. If they lie about their service, how likely are they lying about aspects of their martial art school? Love your work all the way from NZ.

Wally Jay's small circle jujitsu was meant to compliment judo. His students won judo tournaments. I'm not sure what's up with his son but his father probably wasn't into no touch martial arts.
