When I was stationed in Germany in the 80's The mcrib came bare and you added your own sauce with a choice of bbq, curry or others. The Curry mustard was the bomb.

I have a theory. I don’t think anyone actually likes the McRib. McDonald’s tricks people into thinking people like the McRib by bringing it back every year. So what do people do EVERY SINGLE YEAR? Buy it to see if it’s changed or to see what the hype is about. That’s what drives the sales for it, not people actually liking it.

Also daym having worked at McDonald’s just a couple years ago I can say that the McRib meat is mostly pork shoulder that is ground into a purée like form put into the rib molds and frozen lots of preservatives though which is understandable since they are them in such big batches that need to last over the course of a few months

I'm not sure about that. Perhaps the sandwich itself carries more nostalgia than the McDonald's version. Some people believe that McDonald's invented this type of sandwich, but while I don't dislike it, I think there are better options available. If others enjoy it, that's great. I've felt this way since the McDonald's sandwich first came out.

Haven't had a mcribb since the 90s. I think the last time i had it was the first time they brought it back after it first went away. I did enjoy it back then, seems the bun was different too. All i here is how terrible it is now, so im glad i still only have the original taste to remember.
