Remember it’s the politicians that make you use paper straws. Not McDonald’s, to make changes vote your heart. I was in NJ and they want .16¢ for a plastic bag. When I was much younger they always bagged in paper. The paper industry grows small trees for the purpose of making paper products they don’t use old growth trees. In Oregon they are harvesting old growth trees from the fires in 2019-2021 making room for new trees.

Your gloves have to be changed every hour or as soon as they touch something unsanitary or if you move to a different station. Gloves used specifically for raw meat are thrown away immediately after you're done handling meat. There are many stores that don't abide by this policy and you've unfortunately probably eaten at one at some point without knowing; they have been wearing dirty gloves longer than they were supposed to, and they made your food.
@xPersianxKing
@xPersianxKing Жыл бұрын
The only reason to switch out gloves is to not cross contaminate, he’s literally handling fried chicken and 1 slice of fried fish and is that shrimp?! But still maybe do all the chicken then seafood, literally 2 gloves needed. 1 hand touches fridge so the other never needs the glove off to begin with

I worked at McDonald’s for a couple years, and it wasn’t uncommon for me to imagine hearing those anxiety-inducing timers going off when I wasn’t even AT the dang store, nearly drove me to insanity. I have bipolar disorder and I sometimes get overstimulated by loud repetitive sounds, so I would often turn to headphones to help take the edge off. But yeah, It’s like that almost the entire shift. I swear, all of the timers going off at once could be an effective method of torture 😂
@TimorDa
@TimorDa Жыл бұрын
Hey bro, I feel your pain. I don't have that particular disorder, I have however misophonia (basically hate toward sounds). I am sensitive about so many things - repetitive music, loud noises, people sneezing, sniffing, chewing, yelling, laughing, the list goes on and on as I am getting older. I was working in McDonalds, Dominos, and I didn't mind the work, I did however hate so many sounds from there.

Oil was changed something like every 2 weeks depending on how much business we saw or if they got overfilled with loss. Mostly we just dropped more shortening in to top it up which also acted as a quick way to clarify the oil. We didn't use gloves when I worked there for most stuff, just had a manager up our ass watching us to be sure we washed up constantly, which is fair. This is a newer standard that I've seen more of the last few years, which is fine I guess but definitely is going to lead to questions about plastic waste with videos like this circulating now that we have all mostly lost plastic straws and utensils.

No disrespect towards the hard labor but it's mind-blowing to me how these highly standardized and fast paced tasks are still performed by humans. Would be better for everyone if robots did this. Thanks for the insightful video though!

Only work in McDonald's if you have to. I currently work in one and at first its fun but slowly it becomes hell. Most of the time I work in the FPC which is the station in the video and it might seem easy to work in FPC but wait until its rush hour and holy shit you will find yourself dropping baskets and pulling baskets from the frier non-stop for 15 mins to 30 mins if you are lucky however it could reach an hour or two of such work sometimes

280 degrees celsius is the standard. Don't know what that is in fahrenheit
@NVRSE500
@NVRSE500 Жыл бұрын
350 Fahrenheit usually, but the temperate varies depending on how much product is in each vat. There's no use running full power when nothing's cooking, put it that way.
