That is sambal, an Indonesian chili sauce or paste, typically made from a mixture of a variety of chilli peppers with secondary ingredients such as shrimp paste, garlic, ginger, shallot, scallion, palm sugar, and lime juice.
@shafamantasya4568Күн бұрын
Hi Eric, the brown sauce you’re referring to is called sambal terasi, which translates to shrimp paste sambal. Since you ordered the Opor edition, you received the chicken, sambal terasi, and the curry dish, which is called Opor. And yes, we do love our spicy chicken here! Haha.

Indonesian rice plates are generally served with a side of sambal (spicy chili paste) and eaten as a condiment. You add a little bit to yr food with rice and mix. Depending on yr spice tolerance, you add sparingly or none at all. Vendors make their own sambal, so taste may vary.

I cannot believe you got all that food for $25 plus some nice grocery bags that are environmentally conscious 😮😮😮. Here in Canada we can't get two meal deals for under $35. Just wow! Bali is now on my short list of countries to possibly move to and afford to eat. Big Mac in curry lmao 😂🤗💞

I visited a McD in Germany, mostly for the cafe portion. They use actual Corel-style plates and cups that go through the dishwasher, but most of all have latte and espresso (from a machine, but much better than what is available in the USA) and do not get me started on the cake and pastry selection. So much better in term of food generally compared to the US, but the desserts compared well to any coffee chain in the US. I think US consumers need to stay away from McD and demand that the offerings are brought up to international standards.

McD Indonesia doesn't have Quarter Pounder. You have to fly to Singapore for that. But the Indonesia one currently add Quadruple patties BigMac in the menu, which you still can add more patty and cheese if you want it. So, there is that. But honestly, the fried chicken and spicy McChicken sandwich is where it at. McD Indonesia doesn't play around on the spicy level.

Just FYI. McD in Indonesia still selling burgers as their mains. Currently in the promo menu is Quadruple patties BigMac, which you still can add extra patty and cheese on it if you online order through apps. But, the fried chicken and McSpicy chicken sandwich is where it at, their spicy McChicken is quite punchy. In my own opinion, it's better than KFC in the country, even though KFC itself is da bomb, superior compared to the one in the US. So, yeah. When in SEA, at least try the fast food once for awhile. It's a different experience compared in the states.
