We have the big king xl here in New Zealand and it doesn’t have the middle bun like that one you had did! They actually advertise it as having “no unnecessary middle bun” haha 😆

Canada used to have the Big King XL, but recently, now they just have a Big King Jr. - a smaller version. So weird they took the XL off the menu but reference it in their description of Big King Jr. lol.

In Australia we got the big jack that had the middle bun, Macca's tried unsuccessfully to sue them (The big jack itself was a stab at Miccy d's for also unsuccessfully trying to sue Hungry Jacks!) which then led to a whole ad campaign over why the big jack was different (and better) than the big mac!

Hot Mustard sauce at McD’s has been around for decades in the States. They took it off for a couple years and brought it back by popular demand. Also, we have spicy McNuggets as a limited time item like once a year if we’re lucky. The Big King exists here stateside as well…😂

Bro I work for BK and the one I work at does not have a broiled seasoning 😂 you put the patties into a broiler grill and the lines you see on the chicken and burgers are real. So yes enjoy authentic grilled meat!

in Cyprus they even have the epic "double bacon king" ----> Two flame grilled 100% beef patties with double melted American cheese and smoked bacon all on a warm, toasted, sesame seed bun. and the "crispy chicken bacon king" ----> Seasoned and Breaded crispy chicken fillet with melted American cheese, smoked bacon and creamy mayonnaise on a potato bun.

Hungry Jacks (Burger King in Australia) came out with the Big Jack about 2 years ago which was exactly the same as a big mac. It worked out well for both them because everyone had to test them both side by side. Big macs were becoming less popular and then boom the big jack had them back in Mac business.

Burger king uses a gas flame broiler to cook their patties. You get that smokey flavor from the fat that the burger drips down onto the hot surface. I hated cleaning that machine at the end of the shift but I think it brings more flavor than the Mcdonalds flat top press.

I honestly wish there were more mushroom related options at fast food places. This is only because I love mushrooms, but they're a great vegetable options as well lol! I miss all day breakfast at McDonald's. And I miss $5 foot longs actually being sold as advertised. Inflation is a MF. I would be interested in that chicken big Mac lol. Yes,BK here in Florida, USA has the Big King and it's definitely better than McDonald's Big Mac. You get the grilled taste and the BK we go to ( one of my sons works there) they put the same things on it as a Big Mac but much more ,almost to the point of sloppy wet. But who likes a dry burger.

Agree with your comment about prices. Maccas use to be cheap but they are so expensive now. The soft serve use to be 30 cents for a long time now it’s $1.10 in the space if a year. And feeding a family costs $50 nowadays which isn’t cheap.

yes there are flames in the Burger King! there's a machine that has a metal conveyor belt that they put the raw patties on and it goes through an enclosed box that has a gas grill inside it. as the patties emerge from the opposite end on the conveyor belt they are fully cooked. Ive seen it many times while standing in line. you will see the flames inside and smoke pouring out the 2 ends. I agree that the big taste difference is the smokey grilled meat at BK. McDonald's also has a fake synthetic taste - especially on their lettuce as it is sprayed with some sort of chemical to stop it from going brown.
