Love the fact that you get a summon almost immediately, it makes you feel like a necromancer immediately instead of having to get to like say level 30 before you start feeling anything like a necro

I always liked the level 10 class quest way. It's still relatively fast. Here we would get a second pet at level 20, a third at level 30 etc.

For the anima monster in manastorm, you have to destroy crystals first and use portal to teleport between them after you destroy them and then the boss will be too weak so you can kill it.

just realized during your play test of rime you had more Runic power than normal esp in a clip you had 300 runic power cap and im like I wish I had that make it so much easier to get to 8 stacks than the normal only 100 sneaky sneaky

idk if any of yall played trove but there was a class in it which was like a necromancer and you could summon little dudes that would dissapear after a while and its ultimate ability would be to destroy all of your current minions and summon a bigger one and it would be bigger and stronger depending on the ammount of minions you had active when you summoned him it would be interesting to have something simmilar in this

I have always wanted to play a good class that summons hordes of pets. I enjoyed that hunters can control 2 at the same time in retail and that shaman can summon spirit wolves but have always wanted to be able to control multiple groups of minions. I've heard that plague death knight used to do something similar with its summon of 4 ghouls and that is what I hope to see soon alongside my pet in Ascension. Sadly, I can't really spare time to grind gold to get the book. (But wild imps seems to be the closest) (Also, I remember bear attack was completely taken away before I could try it because it was broken)

Seems like it would be interesting to have animation have a bunch of minions, rime would have like 3, and death would have a single pet, but maybe combining different minions? each different minion type you pick could add features to the pet, ghouls could add a frenzy, ghasts could add a leap/charge, abom could add a hook, etc. Build your own single big pet. Maybe the cap stone ability could be detonate the stacking debuff early, or on command. Or spread it like pestilence for DK's

I think Plaguebomb applying all of the Maladies and one other Debuff/DoT Spell would be a really neat way to make it feel incredibly powerful, but not actually be broken, the AoE size of it should definitely be increased though, and cooldown increased to match the power (like 3 minutes?). Otherwise, I really like the Death Spec, I see the relation to Affliction Warlocks with it, but I will heavily argue that it is what Affliction should have been for over a decade.

Oh, and the other two specs I think are in a good place, other than maybe another look at Cooldown Timers, and the numbers. Making the power increase be fluid will make leveling more seamless, which will make leveling more enjoyable.

I'm just getting back into ascension after quite a long break and was wondering if high risk pvp is popular in anyway... I'm playing on the free pick server and have been leveling for a couple days, few hours each day at different times of the day and have not seen anyone in high risk. Not low level, mid level or even higher level.

Are you worried that the threat ability will allow you to operate as a tank in dungeons via an endless stream of trash to essentially absorb the damage? I couldn't tell if it was increasing their threat generated (potentially problematic) or transferring your threat to them (potentially good)

I think this might be possible while leveling 1-60 but shouldn't be possible at 60 because the minions just won't be beefy enough to take hits. But, actually this is the kind of thing we can't really get much feedback on due to the nature of the 50 alpha being nearly entirely PvP-oriented and everything else being theorycraft. Very good point that I'm going to think more about.

i mean its a demonology warlock, but i like this better. but you do have a summonable army and spells tht interact with the active pets (i.e. implosion). this is ofc way more thought out , but i wouldnt go as far as say its somehing never done or tried in wow.

You know ehat would be cool when u have plague build and when you do allot of dots ans stuff that you have 1 skill that if you have like 15 dots and that instead of the damage over time you set all of the dots in instant active damage so instead like damage over 5 sec that it does all the damage in 5 sec in an instant but then with every dot so you get kinda instant kill and that with aoe would be very cool and powerfull but that if its 2 strong just make it a 1 min or 30 sec cooldown

class look really good and game play feels different than demonology cause summoning on move, however... why he is in cloth?... didnt you played D2 or PoE? you go summoner cause you sacrifice personal DMG for pets + high armor whit shield + Aura buffs for pets?... isn't standing still getting clapped by boss (surviving) and watching how adds kill your target the main appeal of ZOOmancer?? other than that i believe this is most accurate representation of necromancer in WoW game... i'm gonna talk about Diablo III for a moment. What i liked about what the Witch Doctor did as a "summons" build with minions is you have the ability to tell your "dogs" to "S ide" into a target. What i like about this is we're dealing with something that is basically a weaponized corpse. Even the "Fetish" minions you summon are effectively "dead" and other than the "dogs" all your minions kinda do whatever aimlessly. But you know, they're dead. Your only "animating" them back to life. The fact you can command a "dog" to "S ide" into a target is amazing. All my friends at the time always told me the Witch Doctor's "summons" build was the weakest build, and they were right. Though i got the helm that allowed my "rain of acid" skill to do amazing damage (completing my build) it only really allowed me to get so far. Then the Necromancer proper got released as DLC. i didn't get to play it much, only gotten to level 10. But looking through the skills he was changed from his DiabloII counterpart which worked very much in the same way the Witch Doctor did in that you had no control over what your minions targeted. Now, in DiabloIII, the Necromancer can actually tell the minions commands. This is why EVERYONE was excited about the necromancer, why the necromancer was so powerful, and why i felt my immersion was ruined. i get that someone made a movie one time and decided the skeletons were going to be competent and the zombie's were going to be incompetent. But this made no logical sense and i get we're talking about a world of "magic." This implies that in a world of magic, the more ethereal or hollow you are the better and superior your spells would be. Witch Doctor or Necromancer, your playing a weaker version than a platoon in a strategy game like the OG World of Warcraft where your units literally have no cognitive functions. What makes controlling undead so powerful is not your ability to command them, it's the fact they are tireless, and functionally endless. This is part of why Shamans and Mages aimed to command elementals, they're brainless minions with special abilities and they are effectively "summoned" out of thin air. Then i found out the most powerful magic you can do in D&D was move dirt.
