My husband’s doctor was delighted to remove Diabetes from his chart. The doctor asked what he did to reach a normal A1C. My husband mentioned Dr McDougall. His doctor asked how that was spelled. 😃

I so love John McDougall’s ahead-of-his-time approach: honest, peer reviewed scientific research rather than human opinion. My hero. Tell it, Doc.

On the Starch Solution my A1C went from 5.9 to 5.3. I didn’t think it was possible, but they are right about about low fat high carb lowering blood sugar. I’m losing about one to two pounds a week. I’m happy!

Thanks Dr. McDougall! I have been following you since I bought your infomercial from back in the late 80s early 90s! It had a VCR tape and cassettes , the book and my brother borrowed the cassettes and never gave them back but I still have the video And everything else! Thank you for addressing the gluten issue - - I really appreciate it. 😊 Thanks Mary for all the fabulous recipes. ❤️❤️🙏

I appreciate the Doctor actually describing my 1.5 type. Most of the people in the medical field look at me with a blank look when I tell them I am type 1.5.

The skin cancer question, min 50:00 - he mentioned actinic keratosis, which is what I have on my back. My long awaited dermatologist appt is on the 31st of Aug. If I want him to remove any (cut off/out, freeze), I have to pay for each one. They are on my back, have even torn them off a bit with my clothes and washing in the shower - very annoying. My health insurance consideres it a cosmetic problem, but they will pay for me to have my skin looked at. I'll ask about the Volatren gel study, which was done in Germany, so he must have heard about it. I am in Germany. BTW . Aldera 5% - I'll ask about that too. I just listened to the rest of his answer! I have Voltaren Forte' gel, 22,3gm/100 here in the house. I'm going to ask the dermatologist about it and after hearing what Dr. M had to say... I doubt I'll let him remove them now. I'm curious as to what he'll say. I'll try to remember to come back and report it.

Can you speak to Thrombocytopenia and how to correct it? I was diagnosed with Thrombocytopenia in my early 20s and later diagnosed to Ulcerative Colitis in my mid 30's. I'm on no medications and try to control these with diet. I eat a WFPB diet as much as possible. Would LOVE to hear your thoughts.

Love Dr McDougall's frankness. A great fan of his. But would be good if he could address the critics that says it is the weight loss that cure the diabetic irrespective of whether you are eating fat or carb.

If you take an attorney to your doctors’ office- you can get blackballed!!! Find other ways to improve the system, instead of getting blackballed.Blackballing patients should be criminal negligence! Thank you Dr. McDougall for supporting your patients in a broken system!

I don't have diagnosed diabetes but I do check my blood sugar due to gestational diabetes and risk of type 2... I have found that eating this starch based diet has raised my blood sugar to 185 3 hours after a meal, why is this happening? Is this safe or right? When my blood is high for many hours I will eat a half of avocado and it brings my numbers back down to 120s after about 15- 30 min, what does it mean? Also not losing weight. I am doing the diet as suggested..

Dr not sugar coating the issue. They are fat. Nothing wrong with it since it’s true. Mom and daughter sticking with overweight. While Doc says FAT. As long as he’s helping them it’s ALL good.

@@roligue yes. You don't necessarily have to become overweight to develop diabetes. It can just come from eating too much fat. Many studies prove this. They have taken healthy college students and give them a lot of fat and within just days they test diabetic. Watch his diabetes lectures and check out mastering diabetes on KZbin as well. Watch the 2 videos I just linked
