McFarlane (mostly) fixed the Arkham Asylum Batman (McFarlane Toys vs. DC Collectibles Comparison)

During my time at Best Buy, I came across a new wave of McFarlane Toys figures showing their take on the Arkahm Asylum versions of the characters; the headliner being Batman himself. This is more of a comparison between the older DC Direct/Collectibles version vs. the McFarlane Toys version of Arkham Asylum Batman.

The bat symbol on the McFarlane figure is accurate to the game. Asylum has a different bat symbol design compared to city and knight

9:15 the mcfarlane one has a more accurate emblem similar to the very first release of dc direct arkham asylum batman. The rereleased ones share the city painted emblems. Also the gun is from arkham origins

the little cluster accessory was the freeze grenade from arkham city and the ‘grapple’ was the remote claw from arkham origins. the folded batarang was also an arkham knight thing. very odd accessories

the Mcfarlane Batman's batsymbol is actually closer to the game with the extra scalops.

i didn't notice a problem with the legs until this lineup, and now it's so glaring. i have a theory that every figure McFarlane releases has one single weird, unnecessary and easily avoidable mistake, like the design team is 5 humans and one alien. or maybe just one of them is a foot fetishist, so obsessively hyper-fixated on getting that critical toe articulation in that he didn't notice the chicken legs.

The glue grenade is from Arkham Origins as well as the grapnel launcher, it was acquired from Deathstroke in Origins. I prefer the McFarlane figure in this case although my biggest gripe are those hot dog legs...

I chatted with you on your live stream play through of “Gotham Knights” and we got into a conversation where you could not believe “Arkham Knight” was my favorite Batman. Well…after playing “Arkham Asylum” for quite a while now, this is officially my favorite Batman game ever…even better than “Arkham Knight”. I am at the point where Poison Ivy was just let free from Harley Quinn and now I am on the mission where I fight her and her thugs. This game is incredible. 😎 I also own “Arkham City” and have played it to the point where I am battling Mr. Freeze. This game is awesome as well but not nearly as phenomenal as “Arkham Asylum”.

What are you talking about with the bat symbol? The Mcfarlane is the accurate one for asylum. You have a re issue figure from dc collectibles if you had the original it would be the same as the mcfarlane. If you were actually familiar with the games you would know that the symbol changed from asylum to city.

MCFARLANE VERSION HAS HUGE CHEST ALMOST ALL MCFARLANE HAVE THAT HUGE CHEST AND SKINNY ARMS FOR COMPARE TO CHEST THAT THING IS REALLY RUINNING THE FIGURES
