Luckily on the 720S McLaren was nice enough to install a key slot in the front brake duct, how kind of them!

McLaren DOES love us. On the specific models you referenced, you take your FOB apart, access your spare key and open the door manually from underneath the car. The key slot is underneath right next to the rocker panel. This will open your door in event of a dead battery. When the battery dies, the windows will automatically drop down about an inch to allow manual door opening as i described. Ask me how I know all this 😂

The windows did not drop on this one or the mclaren gt that I changed the battery on last month or any other model that I've ever been called to. I only made the video because ppl kept calling and asking how to do it because they were afraid they would break the window

Just did this, it definitely works but now I’m having trouble resetting the Frunk latch….wont close all the way

Once you get the car up and running. Use the key fob to pop the hood. If it still doesn't want to close, take the trim piece off or possibly the front trunk and inspect the latch. The cable may have become stuck or out of place.

@@HollywoodMechanic so the reason that it wasn’t closing was the cable itself. When I pulled it, it did open the Frunk but didn’t go back into alignment apparently. So I jiggled it around in the wheel well and heard a click coming from the door area. Tried the frunk again and it closed perfectly. I Can’t thank you enough for all your help, you’re the man!
