I’ve watched and enjoyed this movie many, many times and I still find it hilarious. John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara always give such sterling performances with a barrel of laugh in between. She is such a spirited lady. In this movie, there was such glee on her face as she stuck her hat pin in the rears of those unsuspecting fellows. That fight had me in stitches.😂😂😂

I love this quote from him, "I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility. ... I don't feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from the Indians. Our so-called stealing of this country from them was just a matter of survival. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves." What a guy.

John Wayne was lucky enough to star alongside some of Hollywood's best entertainers, namely Rock Hudson, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, John Carradine, Robert Duvall, Dennis Hopper, Robert Redford, Lauren Bacall, Ron Howard, Chill Wills, and Yvonne DiCarlo, but none of them could go toe to toe with him like Maureen O'Hara did. I think that's why she appeared in five of John's movies between 1948 and 1971.

Possibly the best, and most in-depth reaction I've seen of this cover from Pau,and I've watched every one,and believe me,there's been some really amazing reactions who were astounded by this young lady. Thought I'd just let some other comments get put up first as I've watched your reaction several times now (she almost got broke you),so most of TWA (The Warning Army) have already given you a few recommendations to listen to next from The Warning,so I'd go with what I think is a song in a very similar style to "Creep" which was written by Pau when she was just 13,about addiction (this young lady is well beyond her years),but the song is called "Black Holes" and it's best to react to a live version as you'll see Pau on piano again, but this time accompanied by her sister Dany and Ale on guitar and bass...it's an astounding song and performance/s from these 3. Pau is more at home with her more melancholic numbers like these and "Revenant" (a must see - live or studio versions), "23" (really shows her vocal histrionics at their best), "Breathe", but a few of her more rockier numbers like "Dust To Dust" and "Narcisista" (sung in Spanish) but whatever she tackles you're guaranteed, she always gives it her all. As others have already mentioned, her sister Dany has the best range though (I personally prefer Paus fry in her vocals),but you cannot take nothing away from what Dany is capable of - best examples are "Choke" and "Martirio" (sung in Spanish),but at the end of the day, whatever you listen to from this talented trio - you will never be disappointed. I've been following them for 8 years now,and don't ever think I will stop being a fan...looking forward to your next journey to The Warning, don't let it be too long because TWA won't let you forget...

Good film, great picture quality. Not a classic John Wayne movie but enjoyable. No one gets killed in this one and it's genuinely good natured. Some nice comedic moments too.

@@peterharwood1430 Rio Bravo, Hondo, The Searchers, True Grit, Angel and the Bad Man, Stagecoach, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. IMHO. Check them out. Most are even available in Color if you like. Plus a few ties with this like The Sons of Katie Elder, Chisum, Rooster Cogburn and others. But it's all a matter of opinion.

@@peterharwood1430 The Shootist. Big Jake. This one sucks because it turns into a clownish vaudeville with the mud fight.

50:00 Best fight scene ever! 👍👍& 10k⭐ I had the honor to talk with Patrick Wayne about this that scene. He said it was a cold snap on location, and when he went down the slide, he looked up, and nobody was anywhere to be scene, as he was freezing wet.

For my sadness, there is nothing of this country already. I like movies like that so much. Country music, pickup trucks...

The best thing is that youtube can't do jack cause most of these are in the public domain now. XD

Shhhhh! Don’t give KZbin any ideas. I’m pretty sure public domain aggravates them!

Don't bet on it. They sure butchered "We Were Soldiers Once" starring Mel Gibson with their editing.

Yvonne De Carlo is delightful as Mrs. Warren. Wayne got her the part as she was in financial difficulties at the time.
