Love to see a 3 inch using these motors. I built one last year using these motors and it's my favorite micro. 3s gives great efficiency! On tattu 650mah I get almost 7 mins. Great review!

I am brand new to trhe hobby. Great review :) I do fly RC airplanes and entry level CP helicopters but FPV is a new world to me. I bought this exact model and it looks plenty fast perhaps too fast for me as I turn 49 this month. Wish me luck we have just decided at our airfield to build a quad racer track and add it to our list of activities at our fun fly events. I am going to need a lot of practice. Great flying!

I'll stick with the 2.5 Babyhawk-R and build the Diatone 2018 GT-M3. It is nice that they offer so many options for the Babyhawk-R.

BigD-FPV Yep... 2.5 is the sweet spot for this quad... They should cut the 2 and 3 inch out and stick with 2.5 IMO

I know its been awhile but wanted to mention that I cured a desync I was having by setting blheli timing to med-high. Before that I had digital idle up to 6 and would still get desyncs every so often. After changing timing, havnt had a desync yet and im running digital idle at 5.5

the 3 inch has solid arms now You can NOT take one arm off at a time anymore When you unbolt those 3 bolts both arms come off as they are a solid opiece now
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I noticed that after I had already uploaded the video. I wasn't aware they changed the design that way.

Nice flying! Are the arms individual arms or 2 a piece? I only ask because I got a Babyhawk R from Gearbest and the arms are NOT Individual!

You're right! The front and back arms are together. I hadn't noticed that. I wonder why they switched it up???

I'm looking for a small quad that can carry a GoPro session to make videos with a more cinematic look vs fast and agile. My research lead me to the Babyhawk. Would you suggest the 2" or 3"?

Desync! So either you need to bump up your digital ( I missed it, he did do that) or better yet...... They should have just went 1407 lol. I really don't understand the push to run 11 xx motors with 3 inch props. Nice as always Albert... This just seems basic compared to most other 3inch out there.
@nicodindon74776 жыл бұрын
RCFlyer85 Hi, because even 13xx quads on 3” have totally different fly characteristics. They feel heavy and are very noisy. Only 11xx allow to feel floaty like this.
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
I did bump up the digital idle and showed it in the video (right before the 4S flight)
@RCFlyer856 жыл бұрын
Albert Kim oh ok... Had to go back and watch it I guess I missed that part the first time lol
@RCFlyer856 жыл бұрын
Nico Dindon I get the same floaty feeling on my XJB 145 (1407 motors) when running 3S 550 lipo... It's actually too floaty imo so I usually stick to the heavier 4S batteries
@FrequentFlyerRC6 жыл бұрын
RCFlyer85 IMHO they probably should have kept the 6000kv motors and just warned against 4S usage. 6000kv, 3S and 3" props are a good combination as I have flown 3" on my Babyhawk R with great results. Also, you are right about the XJB as mine feels floaty too but I admit that I do feel more confident when flying a smaller, lighter quad aggressive in my flying space! 😆👌

I would warn people if I see a lot of that happening. You're the first person (out of thousands of people) that I've heard had a fire. If you can prove this is happening to a large number of people, let me know.

Even though the 3" avan props are pretty efficient, do you think they are a bit too heavy for an 1106 sized motor? I understand only 1 desync happened but on my good quads I've never had a desync.. usually it's a potential sign of something potentially wrong? Wish they would have used a higher rated 4 in 1 so we could slap some higher kv motors on it without worries :) how we're the motor temps on 4s? Worth using over 3s?

It might be a little more than on 3 inch but probably not a whole lot more.
@ktrimberger6 жыл бұрын
oh ok. thank you for that. then it sounds like 2.5s would be a Bingo for this. I still like the idea of the 2 inch class primarily because they are more suited for park flying, cruising down the street, etc. Don't want anything that scares people. Needs to have a cute factor like a Whoop where i live and fly. thank you, Albert.

I just seen the same thing your in your flight footage.ok when my fpv cam hits r faces the sun I get a line from the sun back to my goggles. Is this something with the foxeer when it faces the sun directly u get a I guess u say a white line back to your goggles? I just seen it do it when you flew faceing the sun. It is like a soild white line running vertical only when a face the sun really weird never happen to me before the babyhawk r 3.my friend sorry for this I know u are really busy but if u kinda know what I am talking about is there away to fix it . Kinda annoying when u get a clear great picture and you fly the way the sun is the line appears into u fly away from it.

How is the 3-inch version compared to the 2-inch version with 2.5-inch replacement arms?
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
Here's the simple answer. If you want speed, go with the 2.5 inch on 3S. If you want flight time, go with the 3 inch on 3S The 3 inch on 4S is faster than 3S, but not as fast as the 2.5 inch. If you're asking about things other than flight time and power, you'll have to be specific. I'm making a guess here as most people are interested in speed and power.

I just built one. Micro Lux2 v2, Lumenier 4-1 12a esc's, the 6000kv motors on a Xhover Win2XL. Not sure why... I'm guessing it was just too much, and it flew great until it flipped out, crashed, broke an arm and now all 4 motors twitch. I have not investigated further, but on hindsight, 3s flew great. Not that anyone asked for a review on it, but the Win2XL is 3" capable, but not really. 2.5" would have fit better and maybe those 6000kv motors would have handles all of those volts. The 3" blades cross over the camera mounts.

How does it compare to 2.5 arms
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
On the 2.5 inch arms, it was setup with the 6000kv motors on the Gemfan 2540 prop. On the 4500kv motor and 3-inch prop it doesn't feel like it has the same top end power on 3S. On 4S, it feels somewhat similar, but also different. It's difficult to describe.
