Yeah, we just didn't have those on hand! We actually just got a Hex after filming this video and posted a review on it! It could definitely keep up with all these mids, and would be in the shallower disc category. very similar to a stable Emac Truth!

I picked up a Roc3 from our local lake disc dredger right before my round today. After a couple of erratic throws ended up using it the rest of the day as my midrange/driver.

Yeah, you can really put some juice on those Roc3's and trust they aren't going to turn over, they are fun to just rip off the tees!

A Roc3 starts overstable but they wear into beautiful straight flyers. Nothing quite like that flight path so it's hard to compare.

I'm sorry! We didn't add the Emac Truth until later, then we forgot to get back out and get shots of it... The one that we got is used and really flippy... so it wasn't really accurate to a new stock one. The stock Emac's are a touch less stable than our MD3, but man, those Emac Truths zoom out of your hand! It felt like a driver leaving my hand. And with a lucidx it would be more overstable than the MD3. The main difference would be the feel. If you are use to the Emac Truth's, than the MD3 will feel very deep compared to the truth's. They almost feel deeper than the Roc3's because the shoulder/wing is so fat and the wing is thinner on the Roc3.

Awesome content! I like how the Buzzz flies, but as a beginner I'm more reliant on the Buzzz SS. With that said, I'm not into beaded mids. In my beginner mid and putter heavy bag, I'm bagging a Mint Sublime Lobster (5/5/-3/1) - Discmania NEO Origin (5/5/-1/1) - MD1 Mind Bender (5/6/0/0) - Lat 64 RG Trust (5/5/0/2). Origin and Mind Bender are currently in a battle between neutral spot in my bag, but I'm leaning towards Mind Bender so far. MD3 is a fantastic disc, but that + Origin + Mind Bender in my bag is a little redundant.

Yeah the Mind Bender and the Origin are a little close, but the Origins are definitely more understable than the Mind Bender in general! Both great beginner discs!

I am "Mid-Heavy" in my open bag and should probably trim them down some, but I find it hard to do. I currently bag a Opto Fuse, BioFuzion Emac Truth, ZFlx Buzzz, Prime Warrant, 2 TSA Pathfinders (Ethos and Aura I think), Tiger Yikun Shu, and a ProD Drone. Then I played the 2022 Trilogy Challenge yesterday locally and got a VIP Ice Tursas which is going straight into the bag. The Fuse is straight and glidey, the Truth is a Truth but I don't find my self throwing it as much as I did. The Buzzz is just becauzzze (the ZFlx is soft so it really does not skip much unless it is really hard ground so it is good for having a controlled landing), the Warrant is the perfect disc for certain holes I play and I know exactly what it is going to do (but it beats in fast), the Pathfinders are a bit more reliable to get a small Fade out of for windy play, the Drone is made to fade but it is pretty beat up, the Tursas, even though new yesterday, holds a line pretty well and does not fight out too much on an anny, plus seems to have a bit more distance than everything except the Fuse and Buzzz). If I had to pull any, it would probably be the base line Shu because that is my first Ace disk, and then maybe the Truth as it was originally intended as a overall good mid, but now I am more into specific mids for specific shots.

Yeah, I think just the longer you play the more you kind of gravitate to a few specific molds that fit your game and whatnot. And me personally, I am just a minimalist when it comes to my bag... like I carry just 8 molds total I believe? Maybe 7? I could add a few molds here and there for specific shots, but my attitude is that I can make do with other discs already in my bag and I would rather just carry less! Less to think about, and just less weight in general, like carry about 18-20 discs for tournaments and that can easily be 30 or so discs... but over multiple rounds I would just rather carry as few things as possible and less to think about!

It’s been a while since I’ve thrown an M3 or M4… like probably when they first came out… I will have to try and get a hold of them again to throw! I just don’t see a lot of prodigy around my area. They have solid molds though! Just haven’t spent the time to get to know their lineup as much as I probably should!

I have yet to find a better mid range than a perfectly beat up dx/pro Roc3! Those are the best understable mids on the market! You just got to work them in to their sweet spot first...

For people with less arm speed and for whom of those these discs fade on you I would try discs with 0 to -2 turn and 0-1’fade. Latitude 64 SpZ 2(Pirate) as a single disc or in beginner set, Innova wombat 3 in non Dx plastic, and Kastaplast Svea

No Compass? Love the Compass as a neutral mid. New or beat in mine seem to always go wherever I need them to go - hyzer, anhyzer or dead straight they just seem to hold the line and fly with precision. As a moderate speed thrower I've spent time hunting down opto-air Compasses (they are really hard to find), but throw 167-172 weights as well.

It's been a while since I have thrown a Compass! Very underrated disc! These were just all the Mids that we had lying around or a couple friends had! But yeah, the Compass would have fit in great with this comparison!

“Lowe arm speed throwers that het 250ft Or less On flat surface. Innova leopard is hard to beat for people with lower arm speed. Start off with a DX leopard between 150 and 160. If it turns on you and therefore is to understable. Then get a 165-175 leopard in Star or champion plastic. If that one starts to be too under stable for you get a 165-180 leopard 3 in Champion plastic. By this point you will have 3 mid ranges that should cover your understable turning disk, your slightly understable flip up disc and your straight disc.

The Leopard is a solid disc, but I do think it’s a fairway driver. But it’s probably one of the best fairway drivers for beginners!

Warship goes a little bit straighter and Farther than the Truth for me. Truth fades more. I would say I have an advanced beginner arm speed.

For me probably more on the slower arm speed but not a beginner the 177 Warship went straighter and a little farther than 176 Truth. But similar flights overall.

Why is there no latitude compass in the vid? Is it so bad that its no worth it to compare? In the most midrange videos i saw are hardly any latitude midranges. Is there a reason for it?

To be honest, we just compared it to what all midranges we had! We actually didn’t have any Compasses… but it’s a solid mid range! I would put it close to the Buzzz with slightly less fade and a little more glide! Latitudes Mids are definitely underrated though!

@@ApolloDiscGolf nothing wrong with a phone camera, if it's a good one. Look for a pixel (photosite) size of 1.4u or more, a lens of F2.0 or smaller number. The more recent iphones are OK, but great options from Samsung and others as well. Doesn't have to be a 2023 model - a few years old with an amazing camera is all you need. If not, a Canon mirrorless camera, with at least an APS-C sensor, and a fast lens (Canon is great for video shooting - Sony might be even better but might be more expensive).

Oh the EMac truth is much more shallow than the MD3… the MD3 is almost the deepest midrange in this bunch! And the EMac Truth is probably the shallowest!

I find md3 bit too neutral for me often because i release bachands whit little anny and it never tries to get out of it. It gllide for days but it needs bit more touch than i have

@@ApolloDiscGolf For me its stable straight and neutral with a clear fade at the end and a bunch of glide. The plastic is nice but they do come with flashing. Very flat disc that feels like a driver with mid stats. Go for it! :)

Warship In prime plastic has flat quality u can love . glidey!!! Really nice in 179,180. Not happy with it in premium plastic looses it's quality flights in any dome .
