People hear Sister and say he was nasty and the topic was unforgivable. But listen to the song again. If the song is true and about his own experience, the lyrics suggested that he didn't enjoy it. It was forced on him. Prince is a legend and my favorite artist. Nothing that i hear could ever stop me from listening to him. His music will stand the test of time. 💜🌹💜🌹💜🌹

Being kicked out as 12 is the antithesis of control. His estate is made up of half siblings who weren't kicked out of the home. Mattie and John messed up with him, his half siblings are protecting their parents.

There's just such insecurity on the part of the estate because they don't understand what we do: his work, legacy and importance transcend any one action, or even any one person - including Prince himself. They need to understand and believe that his meaning in the culture and the world *deserves* to have intellectually challenging, thoughtful, deep analysis and journalism applied to it.

I appreciate your point of view. However, we are not saying Prince was a god or was above criticism. What I am saying is you can tell this without sensationalism or outright disrespect. The fact that these podcasters have been given the greenlight to talk about the documentary leads me to believe there was intent to make this a hit piece.

Prince life is pretty interesting, wished he was a fan, maybe he would’ve understood all of that extra wasn’t needed.

It’s because the person now in charge, (after finessing Prince’s family) is the very person who Prince BANNED from his life…Londell. He doesn’t care about Prince or us. In my opinion all he cares about is money, not Prince’s legacy. His REAL legacy. Prince was very transparent, flaws and all.

Prince is first of all a black man...a wildly successful and intriguing black man that being the case if one look at a very successful black man in america it seems few who attained a certain level of success thus wealth and fame will be allowed to walk off into the sunset unscathed but at the risk of the producers pulling a hit piece on this unbelievably gifted individual as imo was pulled on R. Kelly, Bill Cosby, Diddy, Russell Simmons, Michael Jackson of course and lately Chris Brown who they seem to not want to leave alone, i couldn't blame the estate for not wanting it released without some degree of scrutiny on their behalf or even some degree of censor provided it does not compromise a fair honest attempt by the producers to effectively depict this greatly anticipated 'biography' of this greatly admired man

I took "Sister " as a jab at Sharon, Noreen was twice prince's age, don't know when she passed. Prince went to NY/NJ to shop labels, and stayed at Sharon's, she found a female producer for prince, he named her in his book, everyday she wanted his body before he could start recording, he said in his book "not much got done" in the studio. I think Sharon knew what was happening and let it go on. So in prince's eyes she was just as guilty. I also think that's when his obsession with giving oral sex started. You can tell when he sang the song "Sister " he was mad, and called her bitch, even said the God D. word, in my house that was a NO no. It's a miracle what he made of himself, I believe all by himself, since he was abandoned several times before 14 years old, 2 times by his dad, and mom as well. I don't know if we can count the 4 babies in Heaven. Most people can't handle being abandoned one time, it messes with the sickie.

This Cancel culture is funny!! There has been artist books and music made by humans since the beginning of time that have been controversial!! (Michaelangelo 1400’s to Elvis, James Brown,Jerry Lewis R Kelly, Chris Brown and Micheal Jackson to name a few)Hence prince song controversy!! he wanted to spike the humans sensory emotions from love hate sensuality to spirituality and all that’s in between when you hear his music. Michael Jackson was monitored by the FBI for a decade, they found no wrong doing. Michael Jackson's accusers, kept claiming the dates, that MJ supposedly SA'd them, witnesses said MJ was out of town and not at home or the accusers weren't anywhere of the vicinity of MJ. Jackson's home security cameras have shown, the accusers and their families were free to walk about on MJ's home. Michael Jackson was cleaner then a motherfucker. Michael's flaw, he was too gullible and believed that these kids and their families would never turn on him. Prince on the other hand, has these relationships with big age gap where he was over 18 and the females were about 15 or 16 or 17. These females claimed nothing was consummated until they were of legal age. But said there was making out and cuddling. Mayte Garcia was about 16 or 17, and Prince was in his 30's when they started seeing each other. When I was in my 30's, I wasn't hanging out with teenage girls, and waiting till they turned legal, to consummate the relationship. Both Michael Jackson and Prince are in my top 10 list of musicians (Queen, Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and others). I do admit MJ had his flaws, but it was nowhere near Prince's flaws.

They assisted police in investigations in 93 and 05. The FBI never investigated him themselves, they only helped the police to conduct investigations. There was absolutely no monitoring. If you read her book, she says that’s when she auditioned to be his backup dancer. They dated when she was 19. She also strongly denies that he was attracted to her or flirty to her when she was under 18. She says “trust me, I could tell when he was attracted to me, he began to pursue me.” when she was 19. Also, age of consent where Prince lived is 16, the same as the UK. Prince never slept with a 16 year old but it’s fully legal where he is so he could have if he wanted to, just like in many countries around the world where people think 16+ is the norm instead of 18+.
