Nice, we went back to the Mouth of Brazos (which is very hard to get too) Some guys were catching Big Specs on padel tails just at sunrise in the surf part at the Mouth. (The very dangerous part) However, the winds are just too high rightnow. We're hoping the winds lay down tomorrow. We did catch 2 keeper Flounders just messing around the sandbars with some Down South Padel Tails a few days ago. The Water is crystal clear. Great for gigging if someone is into that. 🤟

That’s my favorite place to fish. It’s so peaceful. But I am convinced that only little flounder live there. I’ve caught some tiny little things. Still fun to catch. Love tour videos and made one of your recipes tonight with the sheepshead I caught today at sea wolf park. Family loved it certainly will cook it again.

If I can catch just one that makes the trip worthwhile. If they’re on fire, that’s gravy. Fish from a kayak with artificials only

Some days are diamonds, but some days are duds. I definitely believe in the “90/10 Rule”, but fish move to follow their bait. Chips are still fun to catch !

Last time I was over there, I was fishing in the same exact spot and this old man came and cast from the rocks and let the current take his bait right across my line. I was lucky he didn't hook my thigh.

Good video, Mark!!! You can't always go out there and do a catch and cook in the winter time on a low tide. All that matters is that you went out there and put forth the effort to make this content for your viewers. You will get them next.

Did you remove the shiny foil from Shimmer Swimmer to make room for rattle and/or pro cure?
@MDLRFishing2 жыл бұрын
I remove it because I don't like that much flash in my lures.
@redfishrecon482 жыл бұрын
People catching just 1 fish on average lol 🤣! I about dyed laughing, it’s not hard to go catch a limit of redfish, or a few good trout repeatedly if you know where to go. Find spots and learn them well, anyone can cover water quickly, be surprised on how much you miss doing that.
@MDLRFishing2 жыл бұрын
I’m just an average fisherman that people can relate to.
@damnitman19692 жыл бұрын
From my experience if you’re fishing artificial set the hook, even the smallest flounder don’t play they eat it.

Thank you for the awesome content bud. Serious question. I’m heading down to the coast next weekend and I’m looking for a baitcast reel for inshore fishing around $100, maybe $150. I mainly crappie fish up here in Dallas so it’s really only going to get used when I’m inshore fishing. What would you recommend?
@MDLRFishing2 жыл бұрын
I use crappie gear to chase after reds. My spinning reels are 500 series with 5# braid. My baitcasters are 100 sized with 10# braid. Best of luck to you!
