Best way to use a DOA is under a cork IMO. I love the Vudu and if you can find it, spike it lure dye makes a shrimp scented chartreuse that you can dip the tail in.

Figured something was up. I noticed that you hadn't posted anything for a few days, but also considered it might have had something to do with Ida messing up the tides.

Missed you buddy. Glad to see you back. I was out there yesterday on Churchill Bayou. I was fishing Gulp swimming mullet. Caught 6 flounder and 4 croaker. None of the flounder made the 15" limit, but even a catch and release day was nice. I got there right after the rain. Hopefully i" ll run into you out there some day! Tight lines my friend.

The water is a good color, I'd fish that area all the time. I'd find out how deep each side his and fish both shorelines, not just the house side.

Now that was Nature at it's best. Beautiful tranquil marshes with biting fish and storms brewing in the distance. And we have to remember those in Louisiana who were devastated by Ida. Nature is so powerful.

I guess the DOA review will be another day.... I use the 3inch DOA on a light spinning rod and the 2.75 on my bait caster, no problem. They are top notch fish catchers.
