Glad you’ve decided to do this! You are one of the most knowledgable on the subject. Best of luck!

Ah thank you, I'm touched by those kinds words! Do you think you ever might like to chat about your own personal story on my channel by the way? With the Stoicism angle as well as how challenging your journey has been, I think it could be a very interesting chat for people. No worries though if it is not something you want to be out in the public domain about, but just thought I'd suggest it. I'm hoping to do interviews of people later in the year. My head is down at the moment on working on a book about ME/CFS

Have you already looked into IHHT (intermittent hypoxic hyperoxic training) as an additional treatment option? There is a podcast with Dr. Mercola and Arkadi Prokopov about this topic. Arkadi also has written a short book about this topic (Undoing Lyme Disease: How to Make Your Mitochondria Fight Lyme Borreliosis by Surfing Oxygen Waves).

Thank you, I haven't looked into that, no, but I'll have a look.

13:04 Carbon dioxide is the stimulus for breathing. How do you measure CO2 to know you're actually increasing your CO2? Arterial blood gas is more reliable than a venous puncture and I imagine you're not jabbing yourself while breathing so do you use capnography or another tool that will give you objective data?

I don't measure the CO2 directly but you can use the 'control pause' test to measure current body oxygenation capacity. Patrick McKeown calls this the BOLT test - Body Oxygenation Level Test. Sitting quietly, take a normal breath in and out, hold your nose, count seconds till first urge to breathe. Of course, there are many factors in BOLT scores (for example, low blood volume reduces body oxygenation) beyond just CO2 but it is one of them. Interestingly CO2 has been found to be very low in Long Covid but the breathing patterns do not show the expected level of hyperventilation (for such a low CO2 level) suggesting that the low CO2 in these illnesses is primarily a problem of CO2 production being reduced in the cells rather than overbreathing.

Hi Patrick , 1. which method do you accept for payments ? 2. do you consider yourself "100%" recovered ?

Hello, I am not recovered yet as I discuss in the video. I have come a very long way but I still have ME/CFS. Paypal usually.

Have you ever been properly tested for Lyme disease ?
