Thank you ladies, this really inspired me to rethink my diet's role in CFS. Like SO MANY of us I've tried "every" diet and usually felt worse not better and the STRESS from strict diets was too much to add into my already exhausted life. Sometimes I'd feel a boost right away but soon enough it got worse and would have to stop. I have recently realized though I have a major issue with Oxalates so that was maybe why some of the diets would fail (especially as i'm someone who would leap into a new diet cold-turkey and probably experienced Oxalate "dumping" etc). I'm very willing to figure this out and I lean Carnivore already so I'm definitely going to seek out more info with Mary's sites. XO

fascinating, thank you raelan & mary! i've gone through many lifestyles and diets even before i became ill (raw vegan to carnivore and everything in between). i have no idea what box i fit into re: illness source, am wondering how one figures that out without going through the medical gauntlet again. i spent 7 years bouncing from dr to dr but in hawaii our medical is *very* uninformed and the dx i have are limited. i stopped the medical madness a few years ago for my own mental health. very excited to learn more about mary's research!

This was do good! Question. Does anyone know why you would develop really bad dandruff on carnivore a year in? only in the winter but my scalp will feel so dry and so flaky!

It's so difficult to listen to this sound, it's muffled :(( what a shame. But I'll definitely be checking her out because I need to get my diet back on track. I know what a good diet does. It really improves how I feel. I only cannot ever seem to be able to do it long enough 😌

I went from barely ill to severely ill by following GAPS as laid out in McBride's book for 2+ years. GAPS replaces glucose with fructose. Fructose cannot be digested in the gut and must be processed by the liver, which stresses the liver and can lead to non-alcoholic fatty liver. Before GAPS, I could eat anything. Post-GAPS, I react to honey as though I were allergic and have lost the ability to tolerate fiber. I would never recommend to someone who has CFS or dysautonomia to just follow the GAPS that is presented in McBride's book. My experience has been that the microbiome is not the starting point or primary target for dysautonomia/CFS - it's the nervous system. The poor stressed out gut is just reacting to the malfunctioning nervous system.

Hi Raelan, could you do a video comparing the brain retraining programs? There are several to choose from, and I'm curious how they are similar and different. It would be helpful to be able to compare them and decide which one fits the best in our individual situations.

I’m abit confused; so for those of us who are high histamine, low oxalate what should we be eating? A more practical example would be helpful. You go onto her website and there’s different packages to buy but how do you know what you need?

Also, for the sake of clarity, deuterium is not an element. It is an isotope of hydrogen.

in the video she says GAPS diet works well for long covid and then says after that carnivore had the best results with post viral. Just wanted to know for long covid which would be a better option? ive personnaly felt relief from brain fog with keto and even more with carnivore.

@@tanyawieczorek6603 keto helped at a time. never actually did full carnivore since i cooked in oil. pretty much just stritct keto. did better on the low histamine diet for a while. starting about 6 months ago i have been able to eat almost everything except strawberries and papaya and sometimes watermelon. for some reason i reacted to seedless watermelon 5 times ive tried it but last week tried seeded watermelon and ate half the watermelon no problem. these days doing better for sure but lifes still hard. maybe a few more years will do it. goodluck to yourself.

On your website you say "Polysaccharides were key for me to becoming autoimmune disease-free" which Polysaccharides aloe vera or maitake as i assume since you have EDS you followed cusack protocol? She is also talking about westen a price diet and eating specific to your region and environment. Im from scotland so thats oats, herring, dairy, root veg etc.

God those ads are awful. I'm trying to listen to this lying quietly and with the audio quality being low the volume has to be turned up, then those ads blare me into the stratosphere.. please consider turning them off. The 12 hour black screen sleep video creators turn theirs off, so I know its possible!

I checked out her approach and it makes me suspicious and uncomfortable. She says a lot of unproven unscientific stuff, also making weird claims about super humans and the best health. And definitely pushining her carnivore leaning agenda, there seems to be no balance to it. I'm wary of such people. It's a no for me..
@Star5dg

She has done some of the same stuff ive done Brownstein iodine protocol, westen a price diet and Polysaccharides ( which i assume is aloe vera or maitake as they are the key Polysaccharides for EDS on the cusack protocol. Im still ill though lol

She is carnivore diet propagandist, do NOT listen to her, people in the Long Covid community already spotted the scams she is pushing! DO NOT MAKE YOUR HEALTH WORSE. This is all incorrect.
