You encourage us all to help others. Mama went through her closet and cleaned out her towels and wash clothes. We two large amazon boxes for the animal shelter volunteers to use to wash and clean dogs and cats. Everyone can do something to help others and I want to encourage others to do a random act of kindness. We forget how blessed we are to be able to buy whatever we want from time to time.

Steven, cannot say much about humility, but can say that your genuine humanity is evident. Any one of us could wind up on the street and without food. My early teen years still force memories on me of some months, for the last 2 to 3 days of them, we had nothing to eat. It makes you view life completely differently. Thrifting is an addiction. Last weekend I scored dressers, nightstands, king memory foam & bed stands and misc stuff from a local hotel that has new management after they just went thru new management and new decor. The best pair of Levi's 535 I ever owned (style changed 10+ yrs ago) I got at the local store. Raising 6 kids made easy by yard sales and thrift store (when they're young they don't care). Pay it forward is the best way to help strangers. I believe in Karma--what goes around comes around--good & bad.

Steven, hearing about people helping others gives me hope. I’m having a hard time right now. Hearing that someone bought a pair of shoes for someone else made me smile. There is good in the world. Even the small stuff.

I haven't sold on Ebay for a number of years, I have some things I really need to list, luckily they are small and fit in that package drop and are under the weight if I need to use one of the mail drop boxes nearby. Shhhh....I was going to defend but instead I chose to encourage the lady who always wanted to be a flight attendant to do it and I'm glad I made a good choice! The cataplana is beautiful and I think the brass vase is gorgeous! I enjoyed your story and that was so nice of the cashier....kind begets kind! How awesome that Goodwill staff are empowered to help out in these situations!

Letting go of humility on selected occasions, clearly without fishing for compliments, is in my opinion necessary to enable us to otherwise practice it. As always, you find exactly the right phrasing to be completely credible and genuine. Oh, and humble anyway.

I lovingly disagree Steven. Humility is overrated 🤪. When you (or others)share the kindnesses you shower on others, i feel my own hearts warmth in my own body and it in turn reminds me to look for ways to shower kindnesses of my own. Food for thought. 😉🥰
