Kristi, I do something similar to your yogurt bowls. I put 1/2 of a yogurt cup (1 pt) in a bowl, then add 1/3 cup of light cottage cheese (1 pt) & mix it together, then I add 1-2 T of a low point granola (1 or 2 pt) & then add fresh fruit (0 pt) I usually go with blueberries & then sprinkle it with some cinnamon. This is so delicious & filling & keeps you full for a long time. The combination of the yogurt & cottage cheese is a lot of protein. So depending on how much granola you use its 3 to 4 points.

Thanks so much, Kim!! I love our elephant ear plants!! :) If you have the Nature's Own sugar-free 100% whole grain, that kind is good and is the same in points as the Aldi kind. :) Have a super weekend! :)

Yummy looking breakfast and lunch! I make a yogurt bowl similar to that but I also add 1 points worth of low-fat cottage cheese to bulk it up. i don’t add chia seeds though Sometimes I top it with granola, or sometimes a little bit of fiber one cereal. 9 grams is 0 points(of the cereal). I’ve never been a fan of cottage cheese, but I like it this way!
@PlanningUsHealthy3 жыл бұрын
I went back and forth between doing the Fiber One or the granola, but decided on the granola this time. I love Fiber One cereal though! I've never thought to try cottage cheese in it! I love cottage cheese so I may have to try that!

I never even thought about putting chia seeds in my yogurt. *Mind blown* lol I've only used it in my overnight oatmeal. I pronounce it KU KA O 😊 (not sure if it's right) I've never tried Lavash. Is that at Aldi?
@PlanningUsHealthy3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jill!! I love adding chia seeds to things. Adding it to Greek yogurt made it super thick, but I like mine real thick anyway. I bet in regular yogurt it would be perfect!! I actually Googled cacao so I could see how to say it properly!! 🤣🤣 The Lavash brand isn't at Aldi, but they have their own kind called Fit & Active flatbread that scans out the same points. I'm not sure if there are different kinds though so double check. It's just as good though.

How much vinegar do you add for your vegetable and fruit wash?
@PlanningUsHealthy3 жыл бұрын
I usually do one part vinegar to about four parts water, but I just kind of eyeball it.

Hi Kristi. General question regarding points and the Crazy Glazy Chicken in this video. How dob you count the points for the marinade? The marinade is not all absorbed into the pork but it has points associated with it. When I add to my tracker for the meal, I come up to 10 points on purple 💜(with modifications due to available ingredients). Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks.
@PlanningUsHealthy3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! For the recipes that are not my own, I just give the link to the original recipe with the points and calories given on that website. However, I always encourage everyone to figure the points however you would normally figure them (some people count them for marinade, some don't). So, for this one, I gave the points from the original website. Hope that made sense.
@lancemartin41243 жыл бұрын
@@PlanningUsHealthy it does make sense. I am not questioning the original points. More of in general when you are calculating your own points for recipes with marinades, how do you calculate the points for marinade.
@PlanningUsHealthy3 жыл бұрын
After I gave my initial response, I went back to my WW app and it looks like when I added the points, it actually came back lower. Mine came back at 5 points per serving because my soy sauce scans at 0. So, for mine, the marinade was only 1 point. For 4 oz uncooked lean pork tenderloin, it's 2 points, and then the rest of the points are the topping. Different brands scan different too though. I'm not sure why yours would come up to 10 points though. That seems high even for different brands.
@PlanningUsHealthy3 жыл бұрын
I figured that's what you were asking..lol..so I went and looked at how I had it built in mine. I just replied again. That's so strange why yours is coming out so high.

Hey! Quick question.... do you count dried fruit as points? Even if the ONLY ingredient is the dried fruit itself? No extra sugars or anything. I got some from Costco and it scans in at 6 points per serving but I don’t agree...
@PlanningUsHealthy3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm....I don't usually eat dried fruits so I can't really say. From what I've read, it's kind of like the smoothie controversy. I think it's because it's so much easier to overeat on the dried fruit as opposed to a regular fruit. I'd say if you don't eat it on a regular basis and you just eat a small amount, it's probably not going to make a big difference. But if you were eating it daily in large amounts, that's probably where the issue would come in maybe.

Do you put your zip locks in the dishwasher?
@PlanningUsHealthy3 жыл бұрын
No, the reusable ones can't go in the dishwasher because the seal will not withstand the super hot water (I learned by not reading the instructions and putting it in the dishwasher the first time I got them...LOL). But I just wash them in warm soapy water and hang them in my strainer to dry. :)
