I work in a restaurant business. We have to take a test on food handling. You shouldn't leave cook food out more than 2hrs. You should never leave cook food or leftovers in the fridge for more than 4 days. Anything after 4 days should be thrown away. Because bacteria grows. The food might make you sick.

Depends what you freeze. Chicken breast, fish, anything lean or anything cooked over dry heat will taste bad. Dark meats cooked over wet heat (stewing or braising) tends to freeze and reheat well. Examples: chicken thigh stew, chili con carne, Bolognese..

Thanks for yet another informative video. It does make sense that every now and then there will either be a cheat meal or another meal that is not a prep meal since you might go out with friends and wouldn't be taking a prep meal with you but instead would eat it on your 6th day or 7th day. It's good to see you go through so much effort showing what meals you are having and how you prepare them as well as what other food or snacks you eat during the day. Looking forward to new videos.

Of course refrigerating is better but freezing is good in case you dont eat the food. For example sometimes I forget we are getting catered lunch meetings at work or a friend invites out to eat. A frozen meal with be equal to a meal 3rd day in the fridge but at least it wont spoil.

@andrewcarranza15624 жыл бұрын
the reason your food taste bad when you freeze it. is because your freezer isn't cold enough and therefore causes the fibers to separate in the meat this causes the juices of the food to be pushed out (bad taste). if you used dry ice or like liquid nitrogen in an ice bath it would be preserved the same day you made it. or just buy like a blast chiller.

Can i ask you something? It might sound stupid. But I'd rather ask and know about it. So, here it is. Do you need a special type of freezer from meal prepping and storing food items? Or literally any freezer can work out. And what about the people who meal prep for 30 days. Is it okay? It it healthy? What about the bacteria that grows? Sorry, i have no one else to ask these questions. And Internet isn't always valid.

Normal fridge works fine. If kept in separate box for each day then food stay fine.. Avoid storing in big bowl and reopening it each day.. Buy separate air tight containers and add each portion of day which is opened for that specific day.. If you are following this.. You are fine❤
